Perry tops Ridgemont in girls hoops

RIDGEWAY — Jala Phillips and Courtland Fowler had 11 points each as Perry defeated Ridgemont 38-29 Thursday in girls basketball.

Shawnee 47, Kenton 40

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — DeAsia Smith had 14 points for Shawnee in a Western Buckeye League match-up. Ashley Morris led Kenton with nine points.

Elida 68, Van Wert 63

VAN WERT — Shyah Wheeler (22), Abby Waddle (18) and Bailee Kuhn (15) all scored in double digits for Elida in its WBL win. Emma Kohn (16), Riley Jones (13), Alexa Dunlap (10) and Erin Morrow (10) all finished in double digits for Van Wert.

Wapakoneta 52, Celina 38

CELINA — Megan Watt had 14 points and Carly Buzzard scored 12 for Wapak in a WBL game. Heather Heiby had 17 points for Celina.

Ada 45, Allen East 38

ADA — Tori Wyss had 19 points and Rachel Wildman scored 11 for the host Bulldogs. Carly Clum had 19 points and Kylie Wyss scored 10 for Allen East.

New Knoxville 42, Delphos St. John’s 27

DELPHOS — Kennzie Schroer had 13 points to lead New Knoxville. Lexie Hays had 15 points for St. John’s.

NEW BREMEN — Rosie Westerbeck had 13 points and Mariah McKenzie scored 10 for Minster. Alyse Clune led New Bremen with 13 points.

Coldwater 69, Parkway 47

ROCKFORD — Sarah Kanney (20), Brooke Welsch (15) and Lauren Laugers (12) all scored in double digits for Coldwater. Sarah Gehron and, Haley Hawk had nine points each for Parkway.
