TV-44 and WOSN are again bringing back classic high school basketball games as part of the “Throwback 44” series. This year’s season began Jan. 12 with the 2002 contest between Shawnee and Van Wert. In that game, Van Wert’s Cory Sinning scored 43 points and Shawnee’s Jamar Butler scored 31.
All Throwback games air on WOSN (44.2) at 8 p.m. Mondays The schedule with season in parenthesis is as follows:

Feb. 16: Shawnee vs. LCC (1998 Elida Tip-Off), Feb. 23: Lima Senior vs. Elida (1999), March 2: Bath vs. Tallmadge girls (1999 state semifinal), March 9: LCC vs. Wayne Trace (2000 district semifinal), March 16: Elida vs. Shawnee (1999 district final), March 23: Ottawa Glandorf vs. Akron St. Vincent-St. Marys (2003 regional final), March 30: St Henry vs Worthington Christian (2000 state semifinal).
