Sex offender wanted in Kenton

KENTON — A former Kenton resident is wanted for violating sex offender registry laws.

A warrant for the arrest of Richard Jenkins, 71, has been out since March, issued by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, according to a release from Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine.

DeWine is now requesting public help in locating Jenkins, described as a sexual predator.

Jenkins was convicted in 1993 of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and gross sexual imposition of a child under 13 and was released from prison in 2011, according to the release.

He was last registered as living on state Route 309 in Kenton, but he hasn’t registered since January 2014.
