CELINA — Members of the Celina Police Department and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office are working together as a part of the “HIT” team.

The Heroin Interdiction Team served a warrant at about 4 p.m. Tuesday at 1014 Hemlock St. where they arrested Steven Noggler, 24, of Celina.

Noggler was staying at the residence with his girlfriend at the time of the arrest and was wanted for an outstanding warrant for contempt of court, said Capt. Martin Emerine with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

After officers received consent from the homeowner, the home was searched by officers where they found drug paraphernalia, a pill bottle containing 25 capsules with suspected heroin residue inside, two handguns and assorted ammunition, according to the release.

Tom Wale, Celina Police Chief said Noggler is no stranger to the law as he has been arrested for charges such as drug trafficking, criminal trespass, breaking and entering, and more.

As of Wednesday, it was unclear if the girlfriend would face charges.
