100th Birthday: Irene Kill

DELPHOS — Irene Kill will celebrate her 100th birthday Jan. 29, 2015. An open house will be held in her honor at 1:30 p.m., Jan. 24, 2015 at Van Crest in Delphos, where she currently resides. Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to come say hello. Cards would be very much appreciated.

She was born Jan. 29, 1915 in Ottoville to George and Elizabeth Martin. On May 27, 1933, she married Linus J. Kill, and they lived on a farm near Landeck for many years. At their retirement, they moved to Delphos where they continued to enjoy 61 years of marriage.

Kill four children, Janice Mace, of Van Wert, Patricia (John) Wellmann, Mary Lou (Ed) Paxton and Daniel (Robin) Kill, all of rural Delphos. Two sons, Joseph Kill and Jerald Kill are deceased and one son-in-law, Russell Mace, is deceased. She has 15 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
