SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — The Shawnee Township Police Department was investigating a robbery attempt that occurred at 5:57 p.m. Wednesday.
According to a report, two men entered Raine’s Jewelry, 2330 Shawnee Road, and attempted to rob the store. At least one of the men was carrying a handgun. A worker at the store brandished a weapon and took a single shot at the robbers, causing them to flee.
The men did not get anything out of the store. The worker was not injured and the report indicated it is not believed that either robber was hit.
