WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, a member of the Benghazi Select Committee, had some harsh words for Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs Joel Rubin.

Jordan, R-Urbana, questioned Rubin as to why the U.S. Department of State has failed to give documents related to the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi, Libya, attack to the committee. The commitee subpoenaed the documents in 2013, according to a press release from Jordan’s office.

“I don’t know how you can say you’ve been proactive and helpful when you won’t even comply with the statute and give us what the law requires you to give us, and have it segregated and separated for us, and … claim independence in the process,” Jordan told Rubin.
