LIMA — GEM Inc. is bringing new services to its Lima office.

The contracting company, part of the Rudolph Libbe Group, has had an office in Lima since 1999. It will now add insulation services as the company as a whole, headquartered in Walbridge, has added an Insulation Division.

The company offers services such as industrial and commercial pipe, duct and equipment insulation, jacketing and custom removable insulation blankets.

GEM specializes in design, renovation, upgrade, consolidation, relocation and maintenance of industrial processes and manufacturing lines, according to a release from the company

It’s Lima clients include Husky Lima Refinery, Potash Corp., INEOS, Linde and Ashland, according to an email from a company spokesperson.

“The GEM Inc. Insulation Division seamlessly integrates our insulation business with our core business to provide the best value for our customers,” said Joe Pesci, operations manager of the GEM Insulation Division.

Resource Mechanical Insulation, acquired by GEM Inc. in 2004, will become part of the new division, according to a release from GEM.

The Lima office is at 750 Buckeye Road, where it moved in 2013 because of a need for a larger space.

The 19,500-square-foot building houses the office and fabrication shop, according to the email.
