Allen East ends losing streak to Paulding

HARROD — Allen East defeated Paulding for the first time in boys varsity basketball since 20o2 with a 55-53 Northwest Conference victory Friday night.

Spencer Miller had 15 points and Luke Perkins (14) and Caleb Smelcer (10) also scored in double digits for the Mustangs. Alex Arellano scored 15 and Corbin Edwards, Ben Heilshorn and Treston Gonzales each had 11 points for Paulding.

Bluffton 61, Lincolnview 57

BLUFFTON — Levi Kistler had 21 points and Mitchell Ault scored 11 as the Pirates moved to 8-0 on the season. Chandler Adams had 19 points and Hayden Ludwig (15) and Justis Dowdy (14) also scored in double digits for Lincolnview.

Perry 86, Waynesfield-Goshen 42

WAYNESFIELD — Jared Poling (29), Xavier Monford (14) and Jakoby Lane-Harvey (11) all scored in double digits for Perry. Lake Turner led Waynesfield-Goshen with 21 points.

Defiance 65, Bath 42

DEFIANCE — Andrew Renner had 14 points for Bath in the Western Buckeye League contest.

Celina 59, Ottawa-Glandorf 39

CELINA — Ryan Hoyng (16), Logan Delong (13) and Eric Moeder (10) all scored in double digits for Celina. Noah Bramlage had 16 points for O-G.

Crestview 56, Delphos Jefferson 52

CRESTVIEW — Connor Lautzenheiser had 30 points and Cody Mefferd scored 14 for Crestview. Trey Smith (18), Jace Stockwell (16) and Dalton Hicks (10) all finished in double digits for Jefferson.

Leipsic 62, Hardin Northern 34

DOLA — Coach Scott Maag moved to the top of Leipsic’s all-time wins list, getting victory 101 to move ahead of Earnest Radenbaugh. Jordan Brown led Leipsic with 18 points. Andrew Stump of Hardin Norther had 18 points.

Marion Local 68, Minster 39

MINSTER — Ryan Bruns (21), Dustin Rethman (12) and Luke Knapke (10) all scored in double digits for Marion Local. Gabe Goodwin and Josh Nixon led Minster with 10 points each.

New Bremen 78, Fort Recovery 49

FORT RECOVERY — Carson Manger had 27 points and Alex Britton scored 10 for New Bremen. Darien Sheffer led Fort Recovery with 13 points.

St. Henry 54, New Knoxville 47

ST. HENRY — Ryan Mikesell had 36 points for St. Henry. Jalen Fullenkamp (18) and Andrew Arnett (15) each scored in double digits for New Knoxville.

Coldwater 54, Delphos St. John’s 33

COLDWATER — Andy Brunet (12), Derek Thobe (12) and Aaron Harlamert (10) all scored in double digits for Coldwater. Andy Grothouse led Delphos St. John’s with 12 points.

Upper Scioto Valley 70, Ridgemont 34

RIDGEWAY — Braden Rostorfer (19), Lane Hurley (17) and Cameron Parker (14) all scored in double digits for USV.

Kalida 51, Ada 40

ADA — Devin Kortokrax had 19 points and Trent Gerding scored 11 for Kalida. Blake Willeke led Ada with 10 points.

LIMA — The Lima Senior at Toledo Whitmer game scheduled for Friday was postponed. A makeup date has yet to be announced.

CONTINENTAL — Liz Klear had nine points for Miller City and McKenna Scott scored eight for Continental.

LIMA — Lima Senior’s freshman, JV and varsity home games against Findlay will be played Saturday, Jan. 31, with the freshman game scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

ROCKFORD — Terra Walls led Parkway with six points Thursday night.

New Bremen 36, Fort Recovery 33

FORT RECOVERY — Alyse Clune had 14 points and Paige Jones scored 10 for New Bremen. Tori Lennartz led Fort Reovery with 11 points.

Hardin Northern 42, Vanlue 30

VANLUE — Holly Wilson led Hardin Northern with 12 points.

Swimming

Wapak triple duals

WAPAKONETA — Wapak swept Kenton and Coldwater in boys and girls triple dual meets at the Wapak YMCA.

The Wapak boys won 109-42 against Kenton and defeated Coldwater 109-9. The Wapak girls won 93-69 against Kenton and 109-51 over Coldwater. The Kenton boys (88-12) and girls (97-63) topped Coldwater.

In the boys meet, Wapak swept the three relay races and Michael Johnston (200 IM and 100 freestyle) and Charlie Sutton (50 free and 100 backstroke) and Hayden Metzger (100 breaststroke and 500 freestyle) were double individual race winners. The Redskins’ Caleb Schlenker won the 100 butterfly. Caleb Keck of Coldwater won the 200 freestyle.

In the girls meet, Wapak won the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays, and Kenton won the 400 freestyle relay. Wapakoneta’s Josie Miller won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly, Kenton’s Ashton Cole won the 200 and 500 freestyles. Wapak’s Haley Kinstle (100 backstroke) and Mya Hager (100 breaststroke) and Kenton’s Mary Lautar (200 IM) and Mo Gray (100 freestyle) were also individual race winners.
