LIMA — Betty J. Bowers, of Lima, will celebrate her 90th birthday Jan. 6, 2015. She plans on celebrating her birthday with a quiet day at home.
She was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Lima, to William and May Houtz. On Dec. 1, 1951, she married Laverrle Bowers Jr., and he died Nov. 23, 1983.
Bowers has no children but many dearly loved nieces and nephews. She has a brother, Chuck Houtz and a sister, Margaret Shindeldecker.
She retired from Ex-Cell-O.
