ELIDA — The American Township Fire Department responded Thursday evening to a dryer fire at Village Laundry, 601 E. Main St., Elida.
Upon arrival, firefighters could see flames coming from an open dryer going out to the ceiling. The fire was quickly put out, but what caused the fire is still undetermined.
The fire caused an estimated $2,500 in damage, but no injuries were reported, according to the fire department’s Facebook page.
