• Children as young as 5 are now eligible for the updated COVID-19 boosters after the FDA and CDC authorized the change this week.
• Allen County Public Health will continue offering updated COVID-19 boosters and influenza vaccines at its off-site immunization clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays at Clock Tower Plaza, 927 N. Cable Road, Lima, in suites 195 and 200, through Friday, Dec. 30.
• Ohio Northern University’s HealthWise Pharmacy is offering COVID-19 boosters and flu shots from 4-6 pm. Monday through Friday at the pharmacy, 511 W. Lincoln Ave., Ada. No appointments necessary.

Lima Public Library: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. first Friday of each month
Our Daily Bread: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. third Tuesday of each month
Bluffton Public Library: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. last Friday of each month
Alger Food Pantry: 9-11 a.m. Wednesday after the third Tuesday of each month
Kenton Hardincrest: noon to 2 p.m. first Tuesday of each month
Kenton YMCA: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. first Thursday of each month
Dunkirk: 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. second Friday of each month
Dunkirk Community Meal: 4:30 to 6 p.m. fourth Tuesday of each month
Flu shots will be offered on the ONU campus as well from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays starting Oct. 13 through Nov. 17 in the MacIntosh Activities Room.
• There were two additional deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported in the five-county region in the last seven days, according to the Ohio Department of Health. One was in Allen County, and one was in Auglaize County.
