CLEVELAND, Ohio — Arnold Schwarzenegger said on social media Friday that he feels “fantastic” after undergoing a heart procedure at the Cleveland Clinic.
The actor, bodybuilder and former governor of California took to Twitter to post photos of himself around Cleveland. He revealed he had surgery at the Clinic to replace the aortic valve in his heart, and said he previously had surgery to replace his heart’s pulmonary valve.
He did not offer any other details about either procedure, but media reports say he had surgery to replace his pulmonary valve back in 2018.
The photos he posted in Cleveland show him with three of Cleveland’s most famous statues in the downtown area: the Thomas Jefferson statue at the Cuyahoga County Courthouse, the Abraham Lincoln statue near Mall A, and the Jesse Owens statue in Fort Huntington Park.
He also posted a photo giving a thumbs-up from his hospital bed, and tweeted his thanks to his doctors and nurses at the Clinic.
The Clinic has taken the top spot in cardiology and heart surgery in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals rankings for the past 26 years.
