Cleveland man charged in shooting that injured one

CLEVELAND — A 30-year-old Cleveland man is accused of shooting another man early Sunday on the city’s East Side.

Tyrone Wagner is charged with felonious assault, Cleveland Municipal Court records show. He is not in police custody, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Cleveland police responded about 3 a.m. Sunday to the 400 block of East 125th Street, off of Locke Avenue in the city’s Glenville neighborhood, Cleveland police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton said.

Officers found the 31-year-old victim shot several times, Lanton said. He was taken to University Hospitals by paramedics. His current condition is unknown.

Police soon learned that the 31-year-old man was sitting in a car outside a house on East 125th Street when Wagner came to the car. Wagner and the shooting victim had a brief conversation before Wagner fired multiple shots, Lanton said.

Wagner left the shooting scene in a red Chrysler PT Cruiser, Lanton said.
