Two hurt in shooting in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Two people were hurt in a Saturday night shooting on the city’s East Side, police said.

The shooting happened just after 10 p.m. on the 4300 block of East 156th Street, south of Miles Avenue in the city’s Lee-Seville neighborhood, Cleveland police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton said.

The shooting victims’ genders were not released Sunday, though police say they are both 25 years old. One person was shot in the wrist and the stomach, while the other was shot in the back.

The individual shot twice was taken to MetroHealth for treatment, and the second person was taken to University Hospitals. Their current conditions are unknown.

No other details about the shooting, including a possible motive or suspect information, were immediately released.
