CLEVELAND — A man was shot in the hip early Sunday near a highway exit on the city’s East Side, police say.
The shooting happened about 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 77 at the East 30th exit, Cleveland police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton said.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the hip, Lanton said. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital in a private vehicle, but he was flown to MetroHealth for treatment.
His current condition is unknown.
Cleveland police have not publicly identified any shooting suspects, and no arrests have been announced.
