Sheriffs declare Level 2 snow emergencies

LIMA — Area counties are under a Level 2 snow emergency Monday night, as heavy snow flurries blanketed the region.

Allen County Sheriff Matt Treglia downgraded to a Level 2 at 6 p.m.

Auglaize County Sheriff Michael Vorhees also downgraded to a Level 2 at 6 p.m.

Putnam County Sheriff Brian Siefker changed his county to a Level 2 at 6 p.m.

Roadways are snow-covered, and people are urged to be cautious if they must drive somewhere. Drifting is also possible. Only those who absolutely need to travel should be out. Contact your employer to see if you need to come into work.

Hancock County, Hardin County and Mercer County are also at a Level 2.
