ST. MARYS — Patrick McGowan earned another term as St. Marys’ mayor in Tuesday night’s election.

With 100 percent of precincts counted, McGowan, a Republican picked up 85.1% of the votes. He faced a write-in campaign against Aaron Myers, who made news earlier this year after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from the city about a dirt go-kart track.

McGowan has been mayor of St. Marys for eight years after spending one term on city council.
