LIMA — Voters in Allen County had a loud message Tuesday: Keep the buses running.

With all precincts and absentee votes counted, 74 percent of Allen County’s voters cast their ballots in favor of the 0.1 percent sales tax increase. Voter turnout was 15 percent.

The request provides transportation service over the next 10 years. Officials expect it to raise $1.5 million a year and help restore some services.

Of the absentee ballots cast, 66 percent of voters approved the measure.
