LIMA — Cornerstone of Hope Lima was recently selected as a State Farm Neighborhood Assist Top 200 Finalist and has the opportunity to win a $25,000 grant to assist kids in need.
Through the Resilient Kids and Teens School Program, the non-profit faith-based counseling agency has the opportunity to win a $25,000 grant that helps kids in Lima area schools cope with issues like depression, anxiety, suicide and negative thinking.
Lima area residents who are 18 years and older, can vote up to 10 times online at https://bit.ly/2o0eO3X from now until Aug. 24 at 11:59 p.m. On Sept 25 the winner will be announced.
The grant will be awarded to the top 40 agencies with the most votes.
“Its very rewarding to be selected,” said Kari Taylor, Cornerstone of Hope Lima Executive Director. “It’s very affirming about the work that we are able to do. Our goal is to be proactive by going into the schools to equip students with the skills that they need.”
