LIMA — With 10 years of legal experience in Toledo under her belt, Andrea Henning has recently opened Andrea Henning Law, LLC and looks forward to serving the community.
In August 2017 Henning and her husband, who has worked for Nutrien in Lima for the past five years, finally made the move to Lima.
During that time she had taken some time off to care for her newly born child and her other two children. Now, she said, she is ready to get back to work.
“Its really exciting and really pleased to be back at work,” said Henning. “We are really enjoying Lima and it’s good to start in a new place.”
At the newly opened office at 10 Devonshire Drive, Suite C services will include bankruptcy and criminal and law traffic.
“I really enjoy working with people working versus working for corporations,” said Henning. “Bankruptcy was the first area that I learned because I shared an office with ladies who dealt with bankruptcy, and I really enjoyed it. I really enjoy successfully completing the bankruptcy and giving them a fresh start. My interest in criminal and law traffic stemmed from being a public defender for criminal municipal court cases.”
Through her practice, she said hopes to change the comfort level of clients seeking her services.
“With the new office my main focus is the delivery of services and making legal services easy to use,” she said. “I think that sometimes people can get intimidated by contacting a lawyer, so I want to make it easier for them.”
Jed Metzger, President of the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce, said that he is excited to have yet another business open up that will have a positive impact on the community.
“I think it’s important for small businesses to provide services to our community, and it’s another amenity of which we have here,” said Metzger. “The fact that she specializes in two distinct areas — areas of bankruptcy and criminal and traffic law — is great and believe that this will be a wonderful opportunity for her to grow.”
