LIMA — If there is one thing Zane Feng, the owner of the Burrito Oki Bento Box, is passionate about it would be serving healthy food. Since its grand opening in the Lima Mall on Thanksgiving, Feng has been committed to selling food that is not only tasty, but healthy as well.
The Burrito Oki Bento Box restaurant is apart of the Oki Japanese restaurant franchise in California. The new restaurant serves anything from burritos to soups, bento bowls, and sushi. All of the food options are low in sugar and MSG-free, according to Feng.
“It’s safe because it has low sugar for diabetics and we make sure that the food is fresh,” said Feng.
The teriyaki chicken and bento bowls are the best sellers, according to Feng. Teriyaki combos include chicken, chicken and shrimp, beef, beef and chicken, shrimp, and chicken and shrimp. All combos include rice and steam vegetables.
Customers that are interested in bento boxes can choose from chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, shrimp teriyaki, shrimp tempura, salmon teriyaki, and sushi. All bento boxes include a four-piece California roll, green salad, white rice and miso soup.
The restaurant also sells a variety of different sushi rolls including the California roll, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, shrimp tempura, vegetable, dragon, rainbow, Oki, and Philadelphia. Prices range from $3.50 to $8.99.
“We are thinking that the sushi price is lower here than anywhere else in Lima,” he said. “I don’t think anyone will beat the price.”
In addition to the low prices, Feng said what makes his restaurant different than the other hibachi and bento restaurants is customers can watch their food being prepared and cooked.
“Your eyes can see the food and you can imagine how good the food tastes,” he said.
Feng takes pride in his food and will do whatever it takes to make his customers happy. Anytime he makes a new recipe he has customers try the food to make sure it is delicious.
“We want customers to know that we are the best in the Lima area,” he said. “We want customers to come into the Lima mall to try a sample to see just how good it tastes.”
