Lima Lantern Tours

5:30, 6 or 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday

Downtown Lima, Inc. will begin Lantern Tours at 5:30, 6 and 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5 by trolley or foot.

Anyone interested in touring downtown Lima’s historic buildings and hearing potentially spooky stories can sign up at bit.ly/3zCFUa4 for tickets at $50.

Trolley tours are only offered at 6.

Tours last approximately two hours.

Love Conquers All EDM Fest

5 p.m. Saturday

The Love Conquers All EDM Fest will start at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Pangle Pavilion, 128 E. Spring St., Lima.

Artists like Burweezie, Brkfst Klub, Brut and Kaz will perform for all ages.

Anyone can purchase tickets for $10 at bit.ly/3zJ8wOI and bring lawnchairs, costumes and festival gear.

Concessions will be available for sale.

National Fossil Day

1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday

Ohio State-Lima professors will hold a National Fossil Day event from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Allen County Museum, 620 W. Market St., Lima.

Anyone can take in the free event, which includes a presentation for fossilized shells from 2:30 to 3:30, and excavate their own fossils in dig boxes, as well as enjoy games, quizzes and guided tours of the museum’s fossil exhibition.

Woodlawn Cemetery Tours

2 p.m. Saturday

George MacDonell will host a tour of Woodlawn Cemetery at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1751 Spencerville Road, Lima.

Anyone can get tickets for $40 to explore Lima’s history at bit.ly/4ejBK5L.

The RTA trolley will provide transportation for the event.

Translation

8 p.m. Saturday

Michael Bouson will deliver a rehearsed reading of his new play “Translation” at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Ohio Theatre, 122 W. North St., Lima.

Anyone can reserve a spot for free to the comedy reading by visiting bit.ly/3BsbyYo.

The suggested audience for the reading is 18 or older.

Seating is limited and doors open for food and drink at the Stage Door Canteen Cabaret Stage.

Apple Festival: Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6 —This year’s Apple Festival will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Lauer Historical Farm, 800 Roush Road, Lima.

Drum Circle: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 —The monthly drum circle will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Ottawa Metro Park, 2632 Ada Road, Lima.

Anyone can bring their own drums or instruments to this free event.

Tri-State Gun Show: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 —The Tri-State Gun Show will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Allen County Fairgrounds, 2750 Harding Highway, Lima.
