Feb. 23

Ethan J. Yinger, 32, Ottawa, was remanded to the WORTH Center for aggravated possession of drugs. He was placed on five years community control, must obtain and maintain employment and successfully complete all counseling and treatment and have no contact with any juveniles without the permission of his supervising officer. According to court records, Yinger brought methamphetamines into the Putnam County Jail on Oct. 6, 2022, a felony of the third degree. He pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree felony.

Feb. 24

Joshua L. Springer, 40, NCCI, Marion, was sentenced to 160 days jail for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. The sentence was ordered to be served concurrently to a Hancock County case that he is serving at the ODRC.

James R. Reynolds, Mansfield Correctional, was granted a divorce from Mindy L. Reynolds, Fort Jennings. They were married Sept. 8, 2012 in Spencerville and have one child.

Feb. 27

Larry D. Barton, 53, Paulding, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering. He faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was set at OR with conditions while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing scheduled for 9 a.m. April 10.

Feb. 28

James C. Berger, 32, Leipsic, was sentenced to six months jail for breaking and entering from Dec. 16. He was also ordered to pay restitution of $1,800 to the victim.

Charlene M. Williams, 50, New Bavaria, was placed on five years community for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included using marijuana and cocaine. She must successfully complete all counseling and treatment recommended. She was originally convicted of possession of cocaine.

Terry L. Dockery, III, 25, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to assault. He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9 a.m. March 30.

March 1

Tony J. Schroeder took his oath as a member of the Putnam County Board of Elections.

New Cases

Deborah L. Baumgartner, Maumee, and Brian Baumgartner, Columbus Grove; dissolution of marriage without children.

Mary Sims, Columbus Grove, v. Whirlpool Corp., Ottawa, and John Logue, administrator of Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation; worker’s compensation.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Feb. 23

Rex A. Coffman, Jr., 20, Lima, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 174 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one-year license suspension, with credit given for six days jail upon completion of DIP and complete a drug and alcohol assessment. Two other OVI charges and a charge of failure to control were dismissed.

Feb. 27

Adam J. Lomeli, Jr., 35, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of criminal mischief. Sentence: 60 days jail, suspended, $150 fine and complete a mental health assessment. Two counts of violating a protection orders were dismissed.

Adam L. Morman, 41, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to drug paraphernalia. Sentence: 30 days jail, 27 days suspended, $100 fine and complete a drug and alcohol assessment.

Antonio A. Najarro, 35, Ottawa, was fined $150 for driving without a valid license.

Humberto L. Morales, 34, Leipsic, was fined $150 for wrongful entrustment.

Feb. 28

Travis Koenig, 25, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to discharge firearm on prohibited premises. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $100 fine and complete a mental health assessment.

Steven R. Cramer, 55, Ottawa, pleaded no contest to domestic violence and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 90 days suspended, $500 fine and complete a mental health assessment.

March 2

Alex J. Hale, 22, Ottoville, charged with domestic violence, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.
