Former Disney actor gets jail time in Lima

LIMA — A former child actor was sentenced to 60 days in jail (18 days were suspended) and fined $50 following his conviction on Feb. 16 in Lima Municipal Court on charges of criminal damaging and endangering.

Orlando Brown, 35, of Valley Village, California, is a former child actor who starred in the Walt Disney Co. series “That’s So Raven.” He appeared in Lima Municipal Court for arraignment in December and pleaded not guilty to the charge against him.

An incident report from the Lima Police Department said Brown appeared to be suffering from mental disorders and was “delusional” when he was taken into custody on the morning of Dec. 22 following a domestic incident at a home in the 400 block of South Baxter Street in Lima.

Brown has been in out of medical and rehabilitation facilities and in 2018 he reached out for help to Dr. Phil McGraw, who brought him onto his television show to discuss Brown’s struggles, according to a story by the Associated Press at the time of his arrest.
