Regional Christian Chamber of Commerce launched

LIMA — A new chapter is beginning for the Christian Chamber of Commerce. David Roznowski decided to create the West Ohio Christian Chamber of Commerce for Christians who are in business. Christian business owners in Allen, Auglaize, Van Wert, Mercer, Hardin, Hancock and Paulding counties can now join the organization for fellowship and networking.

Roznowski owns the Neighborhood Relief Thrift store and hopes to help other believers in business.

“I really want to try and build a support network,” said Roznowski. “When we went through COVID I felt kind of alone. It would have been really nice (when we were struggling or having difficulties) if we could reach out to other people or family. Not just a network but a family of Christian people that share the same passions. We are all passionate about serving and entrepreneurism.”

Roznowski thought of the idea to have a chamber for Christians only to discover the organization already existed. He reached out to the U.S. Christian Chamber and began the journey to creating something new in the region.

“We always say well they have that there or they have that in Columbus, Findlay, Toledo or Dayton,” added Roznowski. “Why not? Why can’t we have what God is doing in other cities and other states in our region? I knew a lot of Christian business owners.”

After taking the leap of faith, Roznowski discovered he would not be branching out alone. Business owners around the area gathered Wednesday morning to inquire about the new organization.

Roznowski said the chamber will host monthly meetings in each county and quarterly meetings for all 7 counties.

“The first regional will be in March with the president of the U.S. Christian Chamber,” added Roznowski. “She will be kicking it off and really speaking life into us. Each county will designate when those meetings will be based on their availability and things like that.”

“I want the community to know we are not a political group. We are not a radical group. We are a group of business professionals. Businesses, organizations, and individuals who are Christians and uniting on purpose. That purpose is to further the kingdom of God, to bring glory to God and to represent Him well.”
