A motion filed by the prosecuting attorney was granted regarding items to be disposed of an placed in the custody of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office for disposal or use for medical or scientific purposes under applicable federal law. Those items include box of .22 caliber federal ammo, .22 caliber magazines, box of 20-gauge shotgun shells – Winchester, glass bong.

Amanda M. Ringler, 38, Payne, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for tampering with evidence. She was given credit for 17 days previously served and any additional days served until her transport.

Jan. 26

Michelle L. Clayton, 36, North Vernon, Ind., was sentenced to eight months in jail for violating community control standards. The violations included failing to report to her supervising officer and failing to report her change of address. She was placed on five years community control and was given credit for 214 days previously served. She was originally convicted of aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine).

Lima Memorial Health Systems, Lima, was granted judgment against Amber Hovest, Ottawa, in the amount of $3,991.66, plus interest and costs.

Jan. 23

Amanda Alcorn, 24, Lima, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended, $250 fine. A charge of expired registration plates was dismissed.

Natalie L. Geiger, 59, Pandora, pleaded guilty to five counts cruelty to animals. Sentence: 90 days jail on each count, suspended on each count, must pay restitution in the amount of $316 to the Allen County dog warden, $100 to the Putnam County dog warden, $495 to the Ottawa Veterinary Clinic, and $1,136 to the Fort Defiance Humane Society.

Lightning Rod Mutual Insurance Co., Wooster, default judgment v. Damien J. Pursel, Orient Correctional, and Austin P. Swirles, Fayette, $3,625, plus interest and costs.

Devan P. Lewis, 30, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to second-offense OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 160 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $475 suspended, two-year license suspension. Another charge of OVI was dismissed.
