Putnam County Common Pleas Court

January 6

William R. Zimmerman, Sidney, was certified as a judge to the Third District of Appeals to a term beginning Feb. 9, 2023.

January 9

James C. Berger, 32, Defiance, was sentenced to 11 months in jail for violating community control standards. The violations included attempting to cause physical harm to a person in Defiance. He was given credit for 177 days served as of January 9 and he was ordered to pay $1,500 restitution to Heights Guitar, Toledo. Berger was also sentenced to 180 days jail for attempted receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. He was given credit for 70 days served and the sentence was ordered served concurrent to his other cases. Berger was also ordered to pay $1,300 in restitution to the victim. He had been convicted of theft and receiving stolen property.

January 10

Glenbrook Credit Acceptance Corp., Cincinnati, was granted judgment against Juanita Baldazo, Leipsic, in the amount of $15,146.03, plus interest and costs.

Shennon Coronado, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from Juan Coronado, Madison Correctional. They were married Sept. 15, 2018 in Toledo and have no children.

January 11

Emily P. Garlock, Ottawa, and Anthony D. Garlock, Ottawa, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Oct. 8, 2016 in New Baltimore, Mich., and have no children.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Jan. 5

Matthias A. Vogt, 25, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to driving under FRA noncompliance. Sentence: $150 fine. He was also ordered to pay court costs for two headlights required.

Jan. 6

Tommie L. Jefferson, 38, Lima, pleaded guilty to driving under OVI suspension. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $250 fine, one-year license suspension with sentence served concurrently with an Allen County case.

Jan. 10

Michael J. Amador, 50, Ottawa, charged with domestic violence, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Rosalinda Garcia, 62, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid license. Sentence: $100 fine and court costs.

Jan. 12

Jacob M. Trehan, 22, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to an amended reckless operation. Sentence: $150 fine. Charges of OVI and headlights required were dismissed.
