Dec. 19

Jeffrey L. Woods, 39, Orient Correctional, was sentenced to eight months in prison for aggravated possession of drugs. The sentence was ordered to be served concurrently to a case imposed in Williams County. Any illegal drugs seized will be forfeited to the arresting agency.

Dec. 20

Jacob A. Smith, 22, Bryan, was placed on five years community control for attempted failure to provide a notice of change of address. He must obtain and maintain employment and successfully complete all counseling and treatment recommended.

Dec. 22

Cody A. Hunter, 27, Elida, pleaded guilty to trespass in a habitation. He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. He also pleaded guilty to domestic violence. He faces up to six month in jail and $1,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 11:30 a.m. Jan. 30. Charges of assault, and criminal damaging or endangering were dismissed.

Juergen A. Waldick of Allen County was duly commissioned a judge of the Court of Appeals – District 3 by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.

Dec. 27

Crystal R. Cattell, 40, Fostoria, was sentenced to 180 days jail for theft. The judge suspended 170 days of the jail and fined her $250, which was also suspended. She was ordered to pay restitution of $7,914.99 payable to AVI Food systems.

Angela H. Shaheen, Pandora, was granted a divorce from Nicholas A. Shaheen, whereabouts unknown. They were married April 10, 2014 in Findlay and have one child.

Dec. 28

Jennifer Burroughs, Columbus Grove, and Eric Burroughs, Columbus Grove, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married June 5, 2021 in Lima and have no children.

Dec. 29

Josalyna L. Baney, 39, Leipsic, was sentenced to 120 days at the Putnam County Jail for violating community control standards. The violations include using methamphetamines and marijuana, failing to attend substance abuse counseling, and failing to comply with passpoint testing requirements. She was given credit for 70 days served and was placed on five years community control. She must obtain and maintain employment and successfully complete all counseling and treatment recommended. She had been convicted of receiving stolen property.

Mark E. Morning, 40, Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 12 months in prison on an amended charge of domestic violence. He was given credit for 103 days served.

Randy E. Johns, 51, Stedman, N.C., was ordered to make child support payments in the amount of $1,000 per month between all the outstanding child support arrears cases until paid in full. He is in arrears in child support payments more than $128,438. The bench warrant issued in the case was recalled.
