Nov. 30

Broc L. Baughman, 32, Ottoville, was sentenced to 54 months in prison for two counts aggravated trafficking in drugs. Baughman was sentenced to 24 months on count one and 30 months on count two with the sentence to be served consecutively to each other and concurrently to a case in Paulding County. He was also ordered to pay $1,300 to the North West Ohio Drug Task Force.

Evellen Vazquez, Forest; Angelica Vazquez, Leipsic, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married July 24, 2021 in McComb and have no children.

Dec. 1

Joshua J. Carpenter, 43, Ottawa, admitted to violating community control standards. Sentencing on the matter was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Jan. 30. He was originally convicted of tampering with evidence and aggravated possession of drugs.

Ricardo Minjarez, 53, Leipsic, charged with OVI, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Dec. 1

Rodney J. Niese, 59, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP.

William J. Altman, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second offense reckless operation. Sentence: 30 days jail, 27 days suspended, $250 fine.
