LIMA — With the 2022 contest just around the corner, The Lima News is excited to announce an all-new Best of the Region contest. This year’s contest will be bigger and better than ever before with more opportunities for our readers to share their favorite businesses in the region and have chances to win cash for participating. And this year’s contest will end with a formal event to announce the winners.
Starting Friday, our readers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites in over 180 different categories for the prestigious Best of the Region award. We will accept votes through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 7. After voting closes, we will tabulate the results and make preparations for our Best of the Region red carpet gala to be held in early December where the winners in each category will be announced.
Unlike the nomination round where readers had the opportunity to write in their favorite business in each category, in this voting round readers will select who they feel is the Best of the Region from those businesses that were nominated and received enough nomination votes to include them in the top 5 of their category. Also in this round, if you submit your ballot with at least 25 categories voted in you will automatically be entered into a drawing to win $250 just for voting.
In addition to the Winners’ Celebration, the top 3 winners will be printed in a special edition of The Lima News, published on Dec. 11, as well as online.
