July 21

Ty A. Castillo, 31, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to escape. He faces up to 36 months in prison and up to $10,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 11 a.m. Aug. 11.

Elijah M. Bixler, 20, Leipsic, was placed on five years community control for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included being convicted of domestic violence in Athens Municipal Court last May. According to Athens court records, Bixler was sentenced May 24 to 90 days in jail for domestic violence. The jail was suspended, and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim. Bixler must successfully complete all counseling and treatment, obtain, and maintain employment and obtain a GED. He was originally convicted of theft.

July 25

Jason P. Schnipke, 44, Ottawa, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for an amended count of trespass in a habitation, felony, and menacing by stalking, a misdemeanor. He was given credit for 34 days of the jail and was placed on five years community control. He must successfully complete all treatment and counseling and have no contact with the victim. A charge of criminal trespass was dismissed provided he pleaded guilty to a probation violation in Putnam County Municipal Court.

Brian K. Bennett, II, 35, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. He faces up to 18 months in prison and $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 29.

John M. Anders, 38, Fort Jennings, pleaded guilty to domestic violence, a misdemeanor. He faces up to six months in jail and $1,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 29. A charge of assault was dismissed.

Seth M. Plotner, 31, Leipsic, was sentenced to 285 days in jail for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included failing to report to his supervising officer, changing addresses without permissions and using Fentanyl. He was given credit for 285 days served and released July 25. He was placed on five years community control and must successfully complete all counseling and treatment recommended. He must obtain and maintain employment and have no contact with the victim unless approved by supervision officer. He must pay restitution of $7,262.67. He was originally convicted of misuse of credit cards.

Discover Bank, New Albany, was granted judgment against Susan Lenhart, Ottawa, in the amount of $19,413.58, plus interest and court costs of $250.

July 27

Stacy L. Hiltner-Ruck, Continental, and Steven J. Ruck, Continental, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Sept. 9 1995 in Dupont and have no minor children.

July 28

Kelvin J. Bish, 23, Continental, was found in violation of community control. The violations included having contact last June with a minor under the age of 18 without permission of his supervising officer. Sentencing on the matter was scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 15. He was originally convicted of unlawful sexual conducted with a minor.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

July 21

Matthew T. Berelsman, 34, Fort Jennings, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 174 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspension, one year license suspension, with credit for six days jail upon completion of DIP and complete a drug and alcohol assessment. Another charge of OVI and a charge of failure to control were dismissed.

Angelea L. Kimmel, 35, Cloverdale, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspension, one year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. Another charge of OVI was dismissed.

July 25

David T. Nartker, 43, Kalida, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. Sentence:180 days jail, 173 days suspended, $250 fine and complete mental health assessment.

Todd W. Knippen, 52, Fort Jennings, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second offense reckless operation. Sentence: 30 days jail, 27 days suspended, $250 fine with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. A charge of turn signals was dismissed.

July 26

Cody L. Adkins, 30, Oakwood, pleaded guilty to driving under license suspension. Sentence: $100 fine.
