BELLEVUE — Van Wert quarterback Owen Treece accounted for six TDs in the Cougars’ 41-22 victory over fourth-ranked Bellevue in a Division IV, Region 14 footballsemifinal Saturday night.

Van Wert (8-1) advances to the regional finals against Shelby at 7 p.m. Saturday at a site to be named.

Treece ran for four TDs and threw for two more. He ran for TDs of 2, 3, 1 and 1 yards. Treece threw TDs of 6 and 43 yards.

Treece completed 25 of 35 for 273 yards. On the ground, he had 31 carries for 162 yards.

Van Wert’s Dru Johnson had six receptions for 97 yards and one TD. He also had five carries for 39 yards.

The Cougars’ Connor Pratt had five catches for 97 yards and one TD.

Van Wert racked up 550 total yards, with 216 rushing.

Bellevue had 291 total yards with 157 rushing.

Van Wert led 21-0 at the half and 28-14 after three quarters.

Shelby defeated Clyde, 28-14.

Roger Bacon 31, Versailles 28

CINCINNATI – Roger Bacon held off Versailles in the regional semifinals at Roger Bacon.

Roger Bacon advances to the regional finals against Springfield Shawnee at 7 p.m. Saturday at a site to be named.

Coldwater 42, West Jefferson 7

COLDWATER – Coldwater rolled past West Jefferson in the regional semifinals at Coldwater.

Coldwater (9-0) advances to the regional finals against Mechanicsburg at 7 p.m. Saturday at a site to be named.

Mechanicsburg defeated Frankfort Adena, 42-14.

Coldwater led 35-0 at the half and 42-0 after three quarters.

Coldwater quarterback Myles Blasingame completed 6 of 10 for 107 yards. He threw two TDs (16, 42). On the ground, Blasingame had nine carries for 108 yards and two TDs (3, 57 yards).

Coldwater’s Zack McKibben had nine carries for 69 yards. Luke Sudhoff added five carries for 45 yards.

Jay Muhlenkamp had three catches for 76 yards. He had TD receptions of 16, 42 and 18 yards.

Coldwater had 415 total yards, with 241 rushing.

Wester Jefferson (7-2) had 205 total yards, with 82 rushing.

The Cavaliers’ defense held West Jefferson to eight first downs.

Girls soccer

Kalida 1, Ottoville 0

OTTOVILLE — Kathryn Siebeneck had the match’s only goal. Kassidy Hipscher made six saves to earn the shutout in goal. Ottoville’s Madison Hoersten had 10 saves.

The Wildcats (10-8-1) will play Liberty-Benton at 7 p.m. Tuesday at yet to be announced location.

BLUFFTON — Laykin Garmatter had Bluffton’s goal on assist from Clara Matthews.

Archbold 2, Ottawa-Glandorf 1

METAMORA — Archbold advanced to play Pemberville Eastwood after winning in overtime.

Riverdale 1, Bluffton 0

TIFFIN — Mitchell O’Flaherty scored the match’s only goal in the 40th minute as each team managed only two shots on goal each. Bluffton had 10 total shots compared to Riverdale’s five.

Continental 3, Kalida 0

KALIDA — The Pirates advance to play at Riverdale at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
