COLUMBUS — Six of Ohio State’s football games this season will be played on different dates than originally scheduled because of adjustments to the overall Big Ten schedule which were announced on Wednesday.
The revisions mean that Ohio State’s first five games will be at home.
The new schedule has Ohio State playing its first Big Ten game on Sept. 24 at home against Wisconsin. Originally the Buckeyes would have played at Michigan State that day.
On Oct. 1, OSU will now play at home against Rutgers. It had been scheduled to play at Penn State that day.
Ohio State will now go to Michigan State on Oct. 8, which was the date of the Rutgers game before the revisions were announced.
On Oct. 22, OSU will be at home against Iowa. That game was originally scheduled for Oct. 15.
On Oct. 29, the Buckeyes will play at Penn State. It had been scheduled to play at home against Indiana that day.
The Indiana game will now be at home on Nov. 12, which was the original date of the Wisconsin game. All other Ohio State games will be on the previously announced dates.
