Roundup: Upper Scioto Valley finishes unbeaten in NWCC

MCGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley defeated Ridgemont 42-20 Friday night to finish 7-0 in the Northwest Central Conference.

Connor Sanders had eight carries for 113 yards and a pair of TDs, Jackson Rohrs had a TD run and returned a punt and an interception for scores and Maddox Underwood had a touchdown pass to Tristan Fisher for USV (9-1).

Connor Manns threw TD passes to Kolton Manns and Michael Dilbone and Ashton Shelt had a TD run for Ridgemont (1-7, 0-5 NWCC).

Perry 46, Ridgedale 14

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Ryan Yingst completed nine of 11 pass attempts for 205 yards and had a pair of TD throws to Terry Riley, who had three receptions for 124 yards, and another to Ayden Simpson and rushed nine times for 112 yards and a touchdown as Perry (6-4) concluded with a 5-2 mark in the NWCC. Ty’re Sibert had a TD runs and Riley and Joey Hoersten returned interceptions for scores also for the Commodores.

Waynesfield-Goshen 14, Hardin Northern 9

DOLA — Cooper Roberts had a TD pass to Jayden Elliott and had a touchdown run as W-G (8-2) finished with an 5-2 NWCC record. Blake Barnes 16 carries for 92 yards also for the Tigers. Carter Curtis caught a TD pass from Robson, who completed 13 of 28 pass attempts for 213 yards. Hardin Northern (6-4) completed its NWCC schedule at 4-3.

Lima Senior 12

FINDLAY — Kamar Johnson had a TD run and Aidan Howard had a touchdown pass to Bryan Hines for Lima Senior (3-6).

Wapakoneta 27, Defiance 6

DEFIANCE — Jace Mullen had 16 carries for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Braeden Goulet had TD passes to Kaleb Walter and Kaden Siefring as Wapakoneta (8-2) finished in a tie for first with Van Wert for the Western Buckeye League championship at 8-1.

Van Wert 51, Bath 7

VAN WERT — Aidan Pratt completed 20 of 27 pass attempts for 206 yards and had a trio of TD throws to Trey Laudick, who finished with four receptions for 84 yards. Pratt also had 124 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns on 14 carries. Nate Jackson had a TD run, Damon McCracken connected on a 23-yard field goal and Carson Smith had a TD throw to Spencer Clay also for the Cougars (9-1, 8-1 WBL). Kahne Sullivan had a TD pass to Carter Parlapiano for Bath (5-4, 4-5 WBL).

St. Marys 35, Celina 0

CELINA — Aiden Hinkle had a pair of TD runs and Keegan Sharpe, Braeden Hemmel and Jace Schaefer each had touchdown runs as St. Marys (8-2) finished 7-2 in the WBL. Aidan Song had six receptions for 76 for Celina (1-9, 1-8 WBL).

Ottawa-Glandorf 41, Kenton 0

KENTON — Ian Fenbert had 15 carries for 116 yards and three TDs, Landen Jordan completed 11 of 18 passes for 235 yards and had a touchdown throw to Caleb Kuhlman, who finished with five catches for 116 yards. Jordan also had a pair of TD runs as O-G (7-3) finished 7-2 in the WBL.

Leipsic 35, Crestview 21

CONVOY — Dillan Niese had a pair of TD throws to Trent Siefker, who had seven receptions for 81 yards, and another to Quin Schroeder as Leipsic (7-3) finished its first season in the Northwest Conference at 6-1. Niese and teammate Fabian Pena also had touchdown runs.

Nick Helt and Carson Hunter each had a touchdown run and Hunter had a TD pass to Kellin Putnam for Crestview (6-4, 3-4 NWC).

Spencerville 56, Delphos Jefferson 0

SPENCERVILLE — The host Bearcats (5-5) finished their NWC schedule at 4-3 while Jefferson (3-7) finished 1-6 in the conference.

ADA — The visiting Mustangs (7-3) finished 5-2 in the NWC while Ada (1-9) closed out conference play 0-7.

Pandora-Gilboa 73, Cory-Rawson 0 ,

PANDORA — Ethan Luginbill had 13 carries for 154 yards and three touchdowns, Andrew Miller had two TD runs, Dillan Krohn, who completed 11 of 15 pass attempts for 205 yards, had TD throws to Aidan Morris, who finished with four catches for 82 yards, and Joel Stall and Carson Altman and Breckin Grothause each ran for a TD. Krohn also caught a TD pass from Ben Kahle and Elam Suter converted a 30-yard field and eight extra points as Pandora-Gilboa (6-4) finished 6-2 in the Blanchard Valley Conference.

Marion Local 34, Anna 0

ANNA — Darren Meier had 15 carries for 124 yards and two touchdowns and Dylan Fleck, Peyton Otte and Peyton Moeller each had a TD run as Marion Local (10-0) finished 8-0 in the Midwestern Athletic Conference.

New Bremen 34, Fort Recovery 8

NEW BREMEN — Hunter Schaefer had 14 carries for 109 yards and three touchdowns, David Homan threw a TD pass to Nick Alig, who had seven receptions for 118 yards, and Owen Gabel made a pair for field goals for the host Cardinals (7-3, 5-3 MAC). Cale Rammel threw a TD pass to Troy Homan for Fort Recovery (3-7, 1-7 MAC).

Coldwater 55, Parkway 19

COLDWATER — Isaac Fullenkamp had two TD runs and Marcel Blasingame, Adam Hrycko, Luke Sudhoff and Darin Schmitmeyer each rushed for a touchdown for Coldwater (8-2), who finished 6-2 in MAC. Tyler Timmerman had a TD throw to Tanner Muhlenkamp Braxton Howell threw a scoring pass to AJ Harlamert also for the Cavaliers. Fletcher Smith had a pair TD throws to Grant Bollenbacher and Caden Heindel recoverd a fumble for another score for Parkway (1-9, 1-7 MAC).

St. Henry 34, Delphos St. John’s 14

DELPHOS — Bryce Brookhart had a pair of TD throws to Bennett Gels, who had three receptions for 92 yards, and another to Owen Lefeld, who rushed 24 times for 193 yards and a TD as St. Henry (7-3) finished with a 6-2 mark in the MAC. Dominic Schwartz returned an interception for a score also for the Redskins.

Nolan Schwinnen had a TD throw to Gavin Fittro and Brad Kerner had a touchdown run for DSJ (3-7, 3-5 MAC).

Versailles 41, Minster 0

VERSAILLES — The Wildcats (1-9) finished with an 0-8 MAC record while Versailles (9-1) improved to 7-1 in the conference.

MASON — Lima Central Catholic’s Libby Simmons fell 6-0, 6-0 to Pepper Pike Orange’s Alexis Nyborg in her singles opener at Lindner Family Tennis Center. Bath’s Elena Oliver and Anne Oliver dropped their first round doubles match 6-0, 6-1 to Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy’s Lynn Kader and Payton Puryear.

COLUMBUS — Shawnee’s Justin Altenbach is tied for 31st after an opening round 79 at The Ohio State University Golf Club’s par 71 Scarlet Course, 10 shots behind leader Joe Wilson from Lakota East. The final round is scheduled for today.
