PORT CLINTON — The Bath doubles team of Elena Oliver and Anne Oliver finished second Saturday at the Division II girls tennis district.
The Olivers defeated Bryan’s Emilee Bassett and Reese Grothaus 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (4) in the semifinals before falling 6-1, 6-1 to Toledo Central Catholic’s Bella Spinazze and Lucia Spinazze in the championship match.
In singles, Lima Central Catholic’s Libby Simmons fell 6-0, 6-0 to Ottawa-Hills’ Catherine Rhegness in the semis and then dropped a 7-6 (4), 6-0 match to Ottawa Hills’ Lorelei Huber for third place.
The Olivers and Simmons will play in the state tournament Friday and Saturday at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.

VAN WERT — Columbus Grove won the boys title with 33 followed by Lincolnview (58), Bluffton (75), Allen East (106), Crestview (125) and Spencerville (155). Leipsic and Ada did not post team scores. It was Grove’s fourth straight NWC title.
Allen East’s Hunter Sidle was the race winner in 17 minutes, 7.661 seconds with Bluffton’s Landon Armstrong, Columbus Grove’s Trent Koch, Bluffton’s Erik Nygard, Lincolnview’s Jackson Robinson and Columbus Grove’s Roy Langhals, Caleb Morman, Caleb Stechschulte and Bryce Bonifas and Lincolnview’s Daegan Hatfield finishing second through 10th respectively.
Lincolnview was the girls team winner with 36 followed by Crestview (53), Bluffton (59) and Columbus Grove (65), Spencerville, Leipsic, Allen East and Ada did not post team scores.
Bluffton’s June Essinger was the race winner in 21:32.086 with Lincolnview’s Julia Stetler (22:05.006), Spencerville’s Lillee Stewart, Crestview’s Lauren Walls and Lincolnview’s Kendall Coil, Crestview’s Emily Greulach, Lincolnview’s Olivia Snyder, Leipsic’s Lola Wensink, Bluffton’s Mackay Tuttle and Lincolnview’s Lindsey Hathcher finishing second through 10th respectively.
Sidle and Essinger were selected the runners of the year and CG’s Terry Schnipke (boys) and Lincolnview’s Matt Langdon (girls) were voted the coaches of the year.
COLDWATER — Minster won the boys and girls team championships.
The Minster boys finished with 33 followed by New Bremen (68), Marion Local (92), Parkway (111), Versailles (118), Coldwater (159), Delphos St. John’s 165, Fort Recovery (210) and St. Henry (247).
Minster’s Alex Albers was the race winner with Marion Local[’s Noah Budde, Fort Recovery’s Trevor Heitkamp, Marion Local’s Troy Stucke, New Bremen’s Zach Wiedeman, Minster’s Jack Grieshop and Joseph Slonkosky, Parkway’s Blake Strickler and Minster’s Ryan Halprin and Jim Trzaska finishing second through 10th respectively.
The Minster girls finished with 27 followed by Versailles (92), St. Henry (104), Fort Recovery (116), Parkway (119), New Bremen (150), Delphos St. John’s (166), Marion Local (200) and Coldwater (221).
Minster’s Margaret Hemmelgarn was the race winner with teammate Taylor Roth finishing second. St. Henry’s Rileigh Baumer, Minster’s Chaney Cedarleaf, Versailles’ Meredith Barga, Coldwater’s Haley Alig, Minster’s Ava Stammen, New Bremen’s Caroline Whitlatch, Versailles’ Keira Rahm and Fort Recovery’s Jenna Hart were third through 10th respectively.
EDGERTON — Paulding’s Reid Johanns (18:40) finished second behind winner Jaxen Durfey (18:08) from Tinora in the boys high school race. Fairview won the team title with a 34 score. Paulding (130) was fifth.
In the girls race, Paulding’s Claire Miller (26:14) was 25th behind race winner Lauren Sattler (21:42) from Tinora. The Paulding girls did not post a team score.

The Indians won 25-12, 25-17, 25-21.
Addison Maxwell had 20 assists, Karrington Green had 13 kills, 10 digs and seven aces and Sydney Burris had 11 assists for Shawnee.

MILLER CITY — The Lancers won 25-23, 13-25, 25-21, 25-20. Abi Lammers had 22 kills, 14 digs and three blocks, Lexi Banks had 14 kills, Abi Teders had 1o kills and three blocks, Tessa Oedy had 32 digs, Josie Otto had 18 digs and Grace Pfau had 44 assists and 18 digs for Miller City (17-5).

The Wildcats won 18-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.
Alli Garmatter had 10 kills, 19 digs, three aces and three blocks, Brooke Shepherd had 11 assists, eight digs and three aces, Averie Elchert had nine digs and four aces and Tessa Elchert had six kills for C-R.

ADA — Sydney Eggleton had 11 kills and Ada graduate Melina Woods added 10 kills as No. 14 ONU swept John Carroll 25-23, 25-14, 25-14 at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears improve to 17-1 overall and remain in first place in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 5-0 record, while the Blue Streaks fall to 10-14 (1-4 OAC)
Kassie Bowmar added eight kills and Erin Wagner had seven kills also for ONU.

LIMA — The University of Northwestern Ohio fell 25-17, 25-15, 25-18. Nevaeh Shugart had 12 kills, Mailys Silvestre had 19 assists and Aubree Ricketts had 17 digs for UNOH.

The Beavers fell 25-18.25-12, 25-22. Paulding graduate Cassidy Posey had 11 kills, Maddie White had 20 asssists and Ottawa-Glandorf grad Brooke Kleman had 24 digs for Bluffton (9-15, 1-4 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference).

ADA — Thanks to a goal from Tara Morris, the Polar Bears earned a victory against John Carroll at Kerscher Stadium.
The Polar Bears (9-3-2, 5-0-0 OAC) have now won five straight games by a combined score of 11-0.
Saturday’s loss dropped the Blue Streaks to 6-8-1 overall and 1-4-0 in conference play.
Kristy Catrine tallied three saves to record her conference-leading ninth shutout of the season.

ONU finishes 11th
OBERLIN — Ohio Northern finished 11th out of 33 teams at the Oberlin Rumble at the Oberlin North Fields.
In the varsity race, the Polar Bears (58-23 overall) scored 303 points .
Tessa Pitcovich led the Polar Bears, crossing the finish line in sixth out of 302 runners in 22:25.8 on the 6,000-meter course.

Polar Bears 11th
OBERLIN — Ohio Northern finished 11th of 35 teams at the Oberlin Rumble at the Oberlin North Fields Course.
The Polar Bears scored 336 points and improve to 59-29 on the season.
Junior Breydan Hann led Ohio Northern with a 55th place finish out of 306 runners in 27:04 on the 8,000-meter course.
