Roundup: Harmon fires low round in junior golf tourney

OTTAWA — Carson Harmon had low round of even-par 72 in winning the boys 16-18 division during Tuesday’s McDonald’s Junior Series Weisenburger Builders Open at Moose Landing. Ryan Klausing shot a 74 for second.

Lydia Dietz won a playoff against Emma Mayers, Bridget Mulcahy and Kayla Nartker for the girls 16-18 title after each shot 85. Mayers finished second.

Keaton Schnipke defeated Keaton Foster in a playoff for the boys 14-15 crown after each shot 88.

In the nine hole competition, Brody Miller shot a 45 for the boys 12-13 championship, one shot lower than runner-up Paul Stechschulte. Kallie McKinley was the girls 15 & younger champ with a 57. Elle Gable was second with a 73.

The next scheduled Lima Junior Golf Association event is Thursday’s Bob Fridley Jr. Tournament at Shelby Oaks Golf Club in Sidney.
