The University of Northwestern Ohio is announcing the hiring of Andre Smith Sr. as the new head women’s basketball coach for the Racers. Smith will take over from interim head coach Jill Segura who stepped in after the mid-season resignation of John McGinty.

“I want to give a special thanks to President Jarvis and Athletic Director Chris Adams for this excellent opportunity to represent this University on and off the court, “Said Smith. “I also want to extend my thanks to the search committee. I am extremely excited to be able to lead these young ladies to new heights.”

Smith begins his duties immediately at UNOH as he plans to meet with the current players and begins to formulate plans and recruitment for the 2021-2022 athletic season.
