ELIDA — All four teams passed the century mark during Tuesday’s boys District 8 All-Star games at the Elida Fieldhouse.
The East defeated the West 102-100 in the Division I-II-III encounter and the West won the D-IV contest 131-119.
Lima Senior’s Travis Bullock led the D-I-II-III East with 27 points. Ottawa-Glandorf’s Brennen Blevins (18), Findlay’s A.J. Adams (15) and Liberty-Benton’s Ben Spiess (15) also reached double digits for the victors. Lima Central Catholic’s Rossy Moore (21), Van Wert’s Owen Treece (20) and Shawnee’s George Mangas (19) reached double digits for the West.
Crestview’s Kalen Etzler (27) led the D-IV West team with Ottoville’s Ryan Suever (26), Continental’s Mitchell Coleman (18), Ottoville’s Joshua Thorbahn (18), Parkway’s Dylan Hughes (13) and Minster’s Justin Nixon (10) also reaching double digits. Columbus Grove’s Gabe Clement (18), Blake Reynolds (17) and Tayt Birnesser (17), Perry’s Jeffrey Simpson (17) and Vanlue’s Joey Bonham (18) reached the double digit scoring column for the East.
LIMA — Lima Senior High is looking for a varsity head coach. Head coaching experience is preferred, but not required. BOWLING GREEN — Several Lima Family YMCA Barracudas produced top 10 performances Sunday at the Great Lakes Zona
In the boys 13-14 competition, Jackson Bowlus, Aidan OK, Thomas Koh and Xavier Diller were sixth in the 200 medley relay (1 minutes, 52.6 seconds) and eighth in the 200 freestyle relay (1:43.27). Koh was sixth in the 50 butterfly (27.4) and Bowlus was ninth in the 50 backstroke (27.71)
In the 11-12 boys events, Mason Latham, Mason Shank, Andrew Baldauf and Colton Clark were sixth in the 200 medley relay (2:07.14). Shank was third in the 50 breaststroke (33.96), fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.32), seventh in the 100 IM (1:08.11) and eighth in the 50 freestyle (26.88). Mason Latham, Baldauf, Aidan Latham and Colton Clark were fifth in the 200 freestyle relay (1:58.11).
In the under 10 breaststroke, Levin Essinger was third in the 100 breaststroke (1:36.59). Other Lima results appeared in Monday’s edition of the Lima News.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University freshman Montez Archer Jr. has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the third straight time. Archer earned Special Teams Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after two straight Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Archer returned six kickoffs for 190 yards on Saturday, including a 78-yarder at the end of the first quarter that set up Bluffton’s first touchdown in a 51-44 loss to Hanover. He also chipped in with seven tackles from his cornerback position.
ADA — Ohio Northern junior Kristy Catrine has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
This marks the second consecutive week that Catrine has received the honor.
Catrine had two one-save shutouts in her second and third career starts in goal last week.
Catrine has not allowed a goal in her career and has a 273-minute scoreless streak ongoing.
ADA — Ohio Northern senior Annika Neumann has been named the OAC Player of the Week.
She won medalist honors with a 78 to lead Ohio Northern to a victory at the Pioneer Classic 2 at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette.
Neumann began the week with a third place finish with an 81 at the Pioneer Classic in Beverly, helping ONU finish second of four teams.
She averaged 79.5 strokes per round in her two matches last week.
ADA — Ohio Northern junior Hannah Irmer has been named the OAC Defensive Player of the Week.
She had 76 digs, six aces and 15 assists in four road matches last week.
UNOH 2, Cleary 1
LIMA — Nic Baigrie and Karim Jouini each had a goal for ninth-ranked University of Northwestern Ohio (7-0, 6-0 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) against Cleary (0-6-2, 0-5-2).
Devin Morgan and Gustavo Moses each had an assist also for the Racers.
ADA — Ohio Northern junior Seth Gundlach has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
He had two goals and two assists for six points in two home matches last week.
