Fort Loramie tops Minster in girls hoops

VANDALIA — Top-ranked Fort Loramie defeated No. 3 Minster 47-36 in a girls Division IV regional semifinal at Butler High School.

Fort Loramie will play the winner of Thursday night’s Tri-Village and Legacy Christian encounter at 7 p.m. Saturday at Butler High School for a spot at the state final four.

ADA — The Polar Bears advanced to the championship game of the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament.

Brandon Waugh had 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Grant Heileman scored 21 and finished with eight rebounds and Wapakoneta graduate Adam Scott, Landen Long and Elida grad Daniel Unruh each scored 11 for ONU, which will play at Marietta, a 102-68 winner against Wilmington, for the OAC title at 7 p.m. Saturday.
