PAULDING — Bryan pulled away from Bath in the final quarter with a 49-37 victory in the Division II girls basketball district semifinals Thursday at Paulding.
Bryan outscored Bath 20-11 in the fourth quarter.
Bryan (18-3) advances to the district finals against Napoleon at 7 p.m. Saturday at Paulding.
Esther Bolon paced Bath with 15 points. Chandler Clark added 14.
Delilah Taylor scored 10 for Bryan. Brooke Lamberson had nine.
Bath is 22-3.
Bryan led 27-14 at the half and 29-26 after three.
Notre Dame Academy 52,
MILLBURY – Notre Dame Academy knocked off Wapakoneta in the district semifinals at Lake High School.
Notre Dame (12-2) advances to the district finals against Fremont Ross winner at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lake High School.
Wapak is 8-15.
Minster 50, Fort Recovery 32
WAPAKONETA – Minster rolled past Fort Recovery in the district semifinals at Wapakoneta.
Minster (23-1) advances to the district finals against New Knoxville at 7 p.m. Saturday at Wapakoneta.
Ivy Wolf paced Minster with 18 points. Ella Mescher scored 14. Janae Hoying had nine.
Kierra Wendel, Mara Pearson and Alli Vaughn all scored seven for Fort Recovery.
Fort Recovery is 16-7.
Minster led 31-13 at the half.
New Knoxville 32, Marion Local 27
WAPAKONETA – New Knoxville posted a victory over Marion Local in the district semifinals at Wapakoneta.
New Knoxville (21-4) advances to the district finals against Minster at 7 p.m. Saturday at Wapakoneta.
Carsyn Henschen led the Rangers with seven points. Morgan Leffel scored six.
Samantha Hoelsher led the Flyers with nine points. Alana Pohlman scored eight.
Marion Local is 19-6.
Marion Local led 21-20 at the half. New Knoxville took a 24-23 lead after three.
Crestview 39, North Central 11
DEFIANCE – Crestview’s defense held North Central to 11 points in a victory in the district semifinals at Defiance.
Crestview (20-3) advances to the district finals against Ottoville at 8 p.m. Saturday at Defiance High School.
Olivia Cunningham scored 10 for the Knights. Laci McCoy had nine and Myia Etzler scored eight.
North Central is 12-10.
Ottoville 47, Wayne Trace 36
DEFIANCE – Ottoville notched a victory over Wayne Trace in the district semifinals at Defiance High School.
The Big Green’s Nicole Knippen tossed in 18 points. Elise Kramer scored 15 on five 3-pointers.
Katrina Stoller scored 15 for Wayne Trace.
Ottoville (17-8) advances to the district finals against Crestview at 8 p.m. Saturday at Defiance High School.
Wayne Trace is 16-7.
Ottoville led 26-24 at the half.
CANTON – Celina’s Holden Cubberley finished second in the state in the 1-meter diving at the Division II boys state swimming and diving championships Thursday at Canton’s C.T. Branin Natatorium.
Gates Mills Hawken’s Angus Williams won the 1-meter diving with 483 points. Cubberley took second with 436.80. St. Marys’ Kameron MacLean was 10th with 366.65 points.
Wapakoneta finished eighth in the state with 88 points.
Wapakoneta’s Alex Honigford finished fourth in the 50 free in 21:49.
Honigford also finished 10th in the 100 free in 47.63.
Wapakoneta finished second in the 200 free relay in a time of 1:28.59. Kenton Ridge won the 200 free relay in 1:27.43.
Wapakoneta finished sixth in the 400 free relay in 3:15.98.
Gates Mills Hawken won the Division II state boys with 228 points.
Celina was 37th with 17 points. St. Marys was 48th with seven. Ottawa-Glandorf was 55th with 2.5. Minster was 57 with two.
CANTON – New Bremen’s Vivian Niekamp finished seventh in the 1-meter diving at the Division II girls state swimming and diving championships Wednesday at Canton’s C.T. Branin Natatorium.
Niekamp had a score of 395.70. Defiance’s Addi Fleischman was 10th in the same event with a score of 375.
Coldwater’s Macy May finished 12th in the 100 fly in a time of 59.19.
Coldwater was 11th in the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:52.31. Coldwater was also ninth in the 200 free relay in a time of 1:40.57.
Gates Mills Hawken won the Division II state with 387 points.
Coldwater was 19th with 36 points. New Bremen was 36th with 12. Defiance was 44th with eight. Ottawa-Glandorf was 45th with six. Fort Recovery was 52nd with two.
