BLUFFTON — Allen East edged Columbus Grove by one-half point to capture Friday’s Northwest Conference Wrestling Tournament.

Allen East finished with 264.5 points. Columbus Grove was second with 264.

Spencerville was third with 239.5. Bluffton was fourth with 150. Delphos Jefferson was fifth with 114.

Paulding was sixth with 111, followed by Crestview (104) and Lincolnview (62).

Allen East’s Hunter Sidle (113 pounds), Kade Wireman (145), Trenton Gatchell (152), Chase Miller (160), Blake Hershberger (170), Gage Wireman (182) and Alek Winner (220) all won individual titles. Wyatt Watt (132), Ezra Jones (195) and Jeff Meyer (285) were champs for Columbus Grove. Bluffton’s Thayne Kleman (106), Tayton Kleman (120) and Jeremy Sturgeon (126) and Delphos Jefferson’s Anthony Bodine (138) also won individual titles.

Bluffton’s Tayton Kleman and Meyer were named co-MVPs and Columbus Grove’s Ernie Siefer was named coach of the year.
