Roundup: No. 2 Columbus Grove defeats Pandora-Gilboa in boys basketball

PANDORA — Second-ranked Division IV Columbus Grove improved to 13-1 on the season with a 62-46 Putnam County League boys high school basketball victory Tuesday night against Pandora-Gilboa.

Blake Reynolds had 23 points and Gabe Clement scored 13 for Grove (4-1 PCL). Bryce Basinger had 12 points and Ethan Luginbill scored 11 for P-G (8-8, 0-5 PCL).

Delphos St. John’s 48

VAN WERT — The host Cougars held a 21-11 at the end of the first quarter then withstood being outscored 12-5 in the third period. Owen Treece had 26 points and Aidan Pratt scored 12 for Van Wert (5-9). Nolan Schwinnen had 13 points and Landon Elwer and Landon Grothaus each scored 10 for DSJ (4-12).

Fort Jennings 61,

Delphos Jefferson 36

DELPHOS — Zach Schulte (18), Evan Hoersten (14) and Nick Trentmen (12) each scored in double digits for Fort Jennings (5-10). Ian Wannemacher had 10 points and Andrew Miller and Levi Rode each scored seven for Jefferson (5-10)

Girls basketball

St. Marys 45, St. Henry 22

ST. HENRY — The visiting Roughriders held a 21-6 lead at halftime. Kendall Dieringer and Cora Rable each had eight points for St. Marys (15-4). Alayna Ahlers had seven points and Lydia Werling scored five for St. Henry (1-14).

Kalida 61, Tinora 33

DEFIANCE — Kalida moved out to a 21-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. Grace Klausing (19), Brenna Smith (12), Brooke Erhart (11) and Brooke Vennekotter (10) each scored in double digits for Kalida (13-5).

Hardin Northern 40, Monroeville 35

DOLA — Maddie Grappy had 12 points and Emma Martin scored 11 for Hardin Northern (5-11).

Lincolnview 48, Fort Jennings 41

MIDDLE POINT — Kendall Bollenbacher (13), Carsyn Looser (12) and Annie Mendenhall (10) each scored in double digits for Lincolnview (7-12). Reilly Fitzpatrick had 12 points and Jessie Foust scored 11 for Fort Jennings (1-17).

Miller City 44, Van Buren 42

MILLER CITY — The host Wildcats outscored the visitors 15-7 in the fourth quarter. Natalie Koenig had 17 points and Abi Lammers scored 16 for Miller City (11-8).

New Bremen 46, Spencerville 42

NEW BREMEN — Elli Roetgerman had 17 points and Madison Cordonnier scored 14 for the host Cardinals (11-6). Emma Leis had 16 points and Gillian Goecke scored 14 for the Bearcats (12-7).

Wayne Trace 58, Continental 37

HAVILAND — Maddie Burke had 13 and Maddi Potts scored 11 for Continental (4-13).
