Roundup: Perry stays unbeaten in NWCC with win against Ridgemont

Perry 67, Ridgemont 46

MOUNT VICTORY — Perry outscored Ridgemont 23-9 in the fourth quarter to secure the win and remain atop the Northwest Central Conference. Bubby Knight led the Commodores in scoring with 20 points and Ryan Yingst added 17 points. Will Knight chipped in 13 points. For Ridgemont, Landon Newland scored 19 points and Mason Stuck added 11 points.

Perry goes to 11-2 on the year and 6-o in NWCC action. Ridgemont falls to 9-6 for the season and 2-3 in conference play.

Hardin Northern 71, Temple Christian 38

Hardin Northern’s Nevin Robson scored 28 points and Luke Wilson added 19 points followed by Cole Morris with 10 points. For the Pioneers, Landon Callahan scored 13 points and Preston Patrick added 12 points.

Hardin Northern evens its overall record at 7-7 and improves to 2-3 in the NWCC. Temple Christian slips to 1-4 in the conference and 1-12 for the year.

Upper Scioto Valley 60, Waynesfield-Goshen 34

MCGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley’s Jackson Rohrs pumped in 22 points, Connor Sanders scored 14 points and Drew Stephens chipped in 10 points. For W-G, Layton Campbell scored 12 points.

USV improves to 4-2 in the NWCC and 7-5 for the season. W-G drops to 1-4 in conference play and 2-10 overall.

Wapakoneta 55, Elida 35

WAPAKONETA — Wapakoneta’s Zach Rogers scored 14 points and Noah Ambos tacked on 12 points. Elida’s Aiden Bartels scored 6 points.

Wapakoneta evens its Western Buckeye League mark to 2-2 and improves to 9-4 on the year and Elida drops to 1-4 in league play and 1-11 for the year.

In other WBL action, Ottawa-Glandorf beat Celina 80-43.

Spencerville 47, Bluffton 36

SPENCERVILLE — Spencerville’s Josh Heinline scored 14 points. For Bluffton Nic Essinger paced the Pirates with 11 points and Carson Soper scored 10 points.

Spencerville goes to 4-1 for the year and 1-3 in the Northwest Conference and Bluffton drops to 5-8 overall and 1-4 in conference play.

Pandora-Gilboa 63, Vanlue 48

PANDORA — Pandora-Gilboa remained stays unbeaten in the Blanchard Valley Conference at 5-0 after beating Vanlue. The Rockets were led by Adrian Harris with 11 points and Blake Steiner with 9 points.

Pandora-Gilboa improves to 6-6 for the season. Vanlue falls to 2-6 and 1-4 in the BVC.

Miller City 53, Van Buren 25

MILLER CITY — Miller City’s Jon Burgei recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Ross Niese, who had four assists, scored 10 points and Thomas Weis had 10 points. Austin Ruhe chipped in eight points and recorded five steals and four assists.

Miller City improves to 5-10 for the year and Van Buren falls to 1-12.

Minster 50, Marion Local 37

MARIA STEIN — Minster outscored Marion Local 16-5 in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Minster’s Justin Nixon had 16 points and Bryan Falk added 13 points. For the Flyers, Charles Huelsman scored 11 point.

Minster stays unbeaten in the Midwest Athletic Conference at 6-0 and improves to 11-4 for the season. Marion Local drops to 3-2 in conference play and 8-6 for the year.

New Bremen 57, Parkway 50

NEW BREMEN — New Bremen’s Reece Busse scored 27 points and Nick Alig added 13 points. For Parkway, Dylan Hughes scored 23 points and Caden Slusher added 16 points.

New Bremen improves to 3-2 in the MAC and 10-4 for the season. Parkway slips to 2-3 in conference play and 5-7 overall.

St. Henry 43, Fort Recovery 42

ST. HENRY — St. Henry’s Bennett Geis led the Redskins with 15 points. For Fort Recovery, Cale Rammel scored 10 points.

St. Henry goes to 5-0 in the MAC and 11-4 for the year and Fort Recovery slips to 3-2 in conference action and 7-7 overall.

New Knoxville 57, Delphos St. John’s 50

NEW KNOXVILLE — New Knoxville ended a 30-game MAC losing streak with a win over Delphos.

Continental 58, Montpelier 47

CONTINENTAL — Continental’s Coleman Mitchell pumped in a game-high 40 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Napoleon 2,682, Ottawa-Glandorf 2,216

NAPOLEON — Ottawa-Glandorf’s Justin Yeager had the high series in round one with a 388. Other Titan scores were Brandt Utrup 364, Jake Fawcett 338 and Sean Kelley 338. Individual game scores were Josh Walls 172 and Brayden Maas 135. Napoleon won round 2,216.

NAPOLEON — Ottawa-Glandorf’s Willow Hoorman had the high series in round one with a 306. Napoleon won round 2 by a score of 589-425,
