Roundup: Kalida’s Erhart reaches 1,000 career points

DEFIANCE – Kalida’s Luke Erhart scored his 1,000th career point in a 54-30 Kalida boys basketball victory over Tinora on Saturday night at Defiance.

Erhart hit 1,000 points with a jumper with 5:14 left in the third quarter to give Kalida a 35-22 lead.

Kalida is 11-1.

Kalida led 28-22 at the half.

Shawnee 71 Delphos St. John’s 45

DELPHOS – Shawnee’s George Mangas tossed in 42 points to power the Indians past Delphos St. John’s at Robert Arnzen Gymnasium.

Shawnee stands 12-0. St. John’s is 2-6.

Mangas also had nine rebounds and two 3-pointers.

Brady Wheeler added 14 points, eight assists and five rebounds for Shawnee.

Shawnee led 18-13 after the first quarter. The Indians pushed their lead to 37-23 at the half and led 59-36 after three.

Bath 51, Spencerville 46

SPENCERVILLE – Bath’s Bradyn Fleharty fired in 19 points to help the Wildcats knock off Spencerville at Spencerville.

Bath is 5-4. Spencerville is 2-9.

Jonah Wauben added 10 points for Bath. Andrew Stahr scored nine.

Dalton Prichard paced the Bearcats with 13 points. Dylan Cook had nine points and Josh Henline scored eight.

Bath led 23-22 at the half and 41-34 after three quarters.

Calvary Christian 47, Temple Christian 37

LIMA – Calvary Christian notched a non-league victory over Temple Christian at Temple.

The Pioneers are 1-8.

Preston Patrick paced the Pioneers with 18 points. Landon Callahan scored 11.

Xavier Daniels led Calvary Christian with 13 points.

Calvary Christian led 10-3 after the first quarter and 20-19 at the half.

Wauseon 57, Defiance 45

DEFIANCE – Wauseon posted a non-league win over Defiance at Defiance.

Defiance is 4-5.

Riverdale 65, Ridgemont 46

MOUNT VICTORY – Riverdale notched a win over Ridgemont at Riverdale.

Ridgemont is 8-3.

Landon Newland paced the Gophers with 22 points. Mason Stuck scored 11.

Crestview 63, Arlington 39

ARLINGTON – Crestview’s Kalen Etzler had 18 points and nine rebounds to power the Knights past Arlington at Arlington.

Crestview is 9-2.

Crestview went out to a 17-8 first-quarter lead. The Knights led 39-21 at the half. Crestview led 54-28 after three.

Lincolnview 62, Miller City 43

MIDDLE POINT – Lincolnview notched a win over Miller City at Lincolnview.

The Lancers are 7-1. Miller City is 3-9.

Clayton Leeth led the Lancers with 13 points. Aaron Cavinder and Collin Overholt both scored 12. Creed Jessee had 11 points and four assists.

Austin Ruhe had 19 points for Miller City. Thomas Weis scored eight.

The Lancers led 31-21 at the half.

Cavinder had seven rebounds.

Wayne Trace 44, Delphos Jefferson 42

DELPHOS – Wayne Trace edged past Delphos Jefferson at Delphos.

Jefferson stands 3-6. Wayne Trace is 8-3.

Levi Rode paced Jefferson with 12 points and five rebounds. Ian Wannemacher had 10 points and 12 rebounds. Colin Bailey had eight points and seven rebounds.

Kyle Stoller led Wayne Trace with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Jefferson won the boards, 29-28. Jefferson had 16 turnovers, while the Raiders had 13.

Wayne Trace led 22-21 at the half.

Hardin Northern 63, Van Buren 58

VAN BUREN – Hardin Northern picked up a win at Van Buren.

Hardin Northern is 5-4. Van Buren is 1-9.

Nevin Robson led the way for Hardin Northern with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Owen Wetherwill had 15 points and was 5 of 8 on 3-pointers. He also had five rebounds.

ADA – Ada picked up its first victory with a win over McComb at Ada.

Ada is 1-8. McComb is 4-7.

Cayden Murphy paced the Bulldogs with 17 points.

Trent Ennis had 15 points and three 3-pointers for Ada. Micah Cook scored 12.

Ada led 31-26 at the half and 41-28 after three quarters.

Ottoville 51, Pandora-Gilboa 17

OTTOVILLE – Ottoville cruised past Pandora-Gilboa in a Putnam County League game at Heckman Gymnasium.

The Big Green led 15-2 at the half and 33-6 after three quarters.

Ottoville is 9-2, 2-0 in the PCL. P-G is 4-6, 0-3 in the PCL.

Ottawa-Glandorf 63, Findlay 55

OTTAWA – Ottawa-Glandorf battled for a victory over Findlay at Hermiller Gymnasium.

O-G stands 10-1. Findlay is 6-3.

The game was tied at 26 at the half. The Titans pulled out to a 46-38 lead after three quarters.

Coldwater 49, Celina 29

COLDWATER – Coldwater’s balanced scoring helped it post a victory over Celina at Coldwater.

Ethan Post led Coldwater with nine points. Myles Blasingame and Jesse Meyer both scored eight.

Coldwater led 15-8 after the first quarter. The Cavaliers led 35-14 at the half.

Coldwater is 6-5. Celina is 3-7.

New Bremen 61, Covington 40

COVINGTON – New Bremen ran past Covington at Covington.

New Bremen is 6-4.

Nick Alig and Daniel Homan both scored 14 for New Bremen. Reece Busse added 13 points for the Cardinals.

JACKSON CENTER – Jackson Center held New Knoxville under 20 points in a victory at Jackson Center.

New Knoxville is 3-8.

Botkins 58, Fort Recovery 55

BOTKINS – Botkins’ Jameson Meyer hit the game-winning 3-pointer to lift Botkins past Fort Recovery.

Fort Recovery is 6-5.

Botkins led 20-17 after the first quarter and 34-31 at the half.

Allen East 83, Arcadia 24

HARROD – Allen East steamrolled Arcadia at Allen East.

Allen East is 7-4.

The Mustangs’ Garrett Newland tossed in 24 points.

ST. HENRY – St. Henry notched a double-overtime non-league win over Anna at St. Henry.

St. Henry is 9-3.

St. Henry’s Bennet Gels notched 28 points and was 10 of 18 from the field. He was 7 of 10 at the foul line.

Logan Lefeld scored 16 points and had 17 rebounds for the Redskins.

Casey Bruening had 13 points and 14 rebounds. Carter Ontrop had 13 points.

Anna led 19-9 after the first quarter and 37-20 at the half. St. Henry outscored Anna 22-4 in the third quarter to take a 42-41 lead.

Anna was led by McKane Finkenbine’s 26 points. Isaiah Masteller scored 19. Ben Kovacs had 18.

FORT LORAMIE – Minster edged Fort Loramie at Fort Loramie.

BLUFFTON – Bluffton just got past Fort Jennings at Bluffton.

Bluffton’s Kyler Kinn scored 22 points. Trenton Donley scored 14.

Carson Soper scored 12. Nate Schaadt had 10 points.

Nick Trentman scored 24 points for the Musketeers. Jon Grote added 16 points. Evan Hoersten had 13.

Coldwater goes 2-1

Coldwater defeated Dixie High School 54-18 and Milton-Union 40-33 and fell 47-33 to Brookville.

Austin Hamilton (113 pounds), Nick Kline (126), Grant Heuing (152), Shane Ontrop (182) and Caleb Stammen (195) each went 3-0 on the day for Coldwater.
