Kalida 52, Lincolnview 49

MIDDLE POINT — Kalida remained unbeaten after edging Lincolnview. Kalida Luke Erhart scored 24 points and Brandon Miller added 10 points. For Lincolnview, Collin Overhort pumped in 21 points and Creed Jessee chipped in 11 points.

Kalida improves to 8-0 and Lincolnview suffers its first defeat of the year and falls to 4-1.

Wapakoneta 57, Liberty-Benton 47

WAPAKONETA — Wapakoneta’s Garrett Siefring scored 19 points and Kaden Siefring added 10 points. Braedon Goulet scored six points, dished out six assists and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Wapakoneta was 26 of 50 from the field and Liberty-Benton was 17 of 40.

Wapakoneta improves to 6-2 on the season and Liberty-Benton falls to 3-0.

Girls Basketball

Hardin Northern 62, Upper Scioto Valley 25

DOLA — Hardin Northern’s Maddie Grappy scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Eris McCoy had 10 points and five rebounds. Bella Wilson scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds. For USV, Graesan Evans scored nine points.

Hardin Northern outrebounded USV 39-28.

The Polar Bears improves to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the Northwest Central Conference.


Archbold Tournament

ARCHBOLD — Celina finished first overall by going 5-0 and Archbold was second with a 4-1 mark. Allen East (3-2) took third and Crestview (1-5) was 10th and Celina (0-5) was 12th.

Allen East took first place in the Pool A of the Archbold Tournament. The Mustangs defeated Bucyrus 57-6, Sandusky St. Mary’s Central Catholic 42-15 and Fairview 42-36.

In Pool B, Crestview took third and Delphos St. John’s placed fourth. Crestview beat Delphos St. John’s 36-30. The Knights lost to Archbold 55-18 and Mohawk 42-30. The Blue Jays fells to Mohawk , 42-18 and Archbold, 64-10.

In the Placement Poll, Celina finished first after beating Archbold 44-29 and Allen East 42-36 and Allen East finished third.
