Roundup: Bath improves to 4-2 in boys basketball

BATH TOWNSHIP — Bath improved to 4-2 with a non-league 65-60 boys basketball victory over Liberty-Benton on Saturday at Bath.

Liberty-Benton is 3-3.

Jonah Wauben led Bath with 19 points. Brayden Fleharty added 14.

Andrew Star and Ian Armentrout both scored 10 for the Wildcats. Carter Parlapiano had eight.

Josh Reindel led Liberty-Benton with 15 points. Cason Doolittle had 13. Joe Gerken had nine points on three 3-pointers.

Bath went out quick and led 18-13 after the first quarter, but the game was tied at 31 at the half.

Bath then outscored L-B 22-14 in the third to take a 53-45 lead after three quarters.

Shawnee 64, Marion Local 33

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP – Shawnee used a big third quarter to stay unbeaten with a victory over Marion Local at Shawnee.

Shawnee is 8-0. Marion Local is 2-5.

George Mangas led the Indians with 32 points, six rebounds and four assists. He had 12 points in the first quarter and 19 at the half.

Shawnee’s Tyson Elwer had 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocks. He also had four steals.

Jarin Bertke scored nine and was 3 of 4 on 3-pointers.

Tate Hess and Charles Huelsman both had eight points for the Flyers.

Shawnee led 29-14 at the half, then outscored the Flyers 20-4 in the third. That gave the Indians a 49-18 lead after three quarters.

New Knoxville 61, Temple Christian 49

LIMA – New Knoxville posted a victory over Temple Christian at Temple.

The Pioneers are 1-3. New Knoxville is 2-5.

Preston Patrick scored 27 for Temple with two 3-pointers. He hit 13 of 15 at the foul line. Patrick also had seven rebounds.

Landon Callahan added 15 points for the Pioneers.

Temple’s Cody Motter had eight rebounds with his four points.

New Knoxville led 29-24 at the half and 41-34 after three quarters.

Temple won the boards, 28-23. The Pioneers had 16 turnovers, while the Rangers had only five.

Ottoville 69, Toledo Christian 66 (OT)

OTTOVILLE – Ottoville went overtime to post a victory over Toledo Christian at Ottoville.

The game was tied at 55 at the end of regulation.

Ottoville is 5-1. Toledo Christian is 4-1.

Upper Scioto Valley 66, Kenton 59

KENTON – Upper Scioto Valley’s Connor Sanders tossed in 26 points to power the Rams over Kenton at Kenton.

USV is 2-3. Kenton is 0-6.

Tristan Fisher added 12 points for USV. Kadyn Hurley scored 11.

Jayden Cornell led Kenton with 21 points with three 3-pointers.

Zac Swaney and Caden Bolling both scored 15 for Kenton.

Paulding 58, Miller City 50

PAULDING – Paulding got a victory over Miller City at Paulding.

Paulding is 4-2. Miller City is 1-6.

Blake McGarvey scored 17 for Paulding. Hunter Kauser had 16 points.

Thomas Weis and Austin Ruhe both had 14 points for Miller City. Jon Burgei scored 12 and Ross Niese had nine.

Miller City led 22-21 at the half. Paulding led 40-38 after three.

Miller City won the boards, 22-10.

Wayne Trace 52, Van Wert 49

HAVILAND – Wayne Trace’s Cameron Sinn scored 14 points to lead the Raiders over Van Wert at Haviland.

Van Wert is 0-3. Wayne Trace is 4-2.

Ethan Brown scored 16 with three 3-pointers for the Cougars. Owen Treece had 11.

Van Wert’s Aidan Pratt had nine points and eight rebounds.

Van Wert won the boards, 34-24. Van Wert had 15 turnovers, while Wayne Trace had 12.

Wayne Trace led 29-22 at the half and 43-36 after three.

Leipsic 60, Riverdale 47

MOUNT BLANCHARD – Leipsic pushed its record to 6-1 with a victory over Riverdale at Riverdale.

Mason Brandt paced the Vikings with 21 points. Lorenzo Walther had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Ottawa-Glandorf 57, Archbold 36

ARCHBOLD – Ottawa-Glandorf went on a 22-2 run in the third quarter to pull away from Archbold.

The Titans are 5-1.

Monroeville 64, Hardin Northern 55

DOLA – Hardin Northern fell to Monroeville at Dola.

Hardin Northern is 4-2.

Nevin Robson led Hardin Northern with 22 points and eight rebounds. Cole Morris had 12 points and nine rebounds. Zeb Wilson had 10 points and four assists.

Owen Wetherwill had eight points and eight rebounds.

Monroeville led 32-28 at the half and 49-38 after three.

New Bremen 74, Riverside 41

RIVERSIDE – New Bremen ran away from Riverside at Riverside.

New Bremen is 3-2.

David Homan led New Bremen with 17 points. Trevor Bergman scored 13 and Reece Busse had 12.

New Bremen led 20-9 after the first quarter and 41-19 at the half.

Cory-Rawson 38, Ada 36 (OT)

ADA – Cory-Rawson edged Ada in overtime at Ada.

Cory-Rawson is 3-3. Ada is 0-7.

Grant Bacon led the Hornets with 21 points.

Trent Ennis had nine points for Ada. Tristan Conley had eight.

Ada led 20-19 after three quarters. The game was tied at 32 at the end of regulation.

Anna 66, Minster 52

MINSTER – Anna’s McKane Finkenbine had 32 points to power Ann past at Minster in a non-league game.

Finkenbine hit 7 of 15 on 3-pointers. He also had four rebounds and four assists.

Isaiah Masteller had 12 points for Anna. Ben Kovacs and Jacob Robinson scored 10.

Bryan Falk paced Minster with 15 points. Justin Nixon had 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Johnny Nixon had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Minster is 4-2.

Minster won the boards, 28-18. Minster had 19 turnovers, while Anna had 12.

St. Marys 54, Parkway 38

ST. MARYS – St. Marys got a non-league victory over Parkway at St. Marys.

St. Marys is 4-2. Parkway is 1-3.

Toledo St. John’s 52 Defiance 33

DEFIANCE – Toledo St. John’s Jesuit posted a victory over Defiance at Defiance.

Defiance is 3-4. St. John’s is 1-2.

Waynesfield-Goshen 70, Calvary Christian 55

WAYNESFIELD – Waynesfield-Goshen won its first game of the year with a victory over Calvary Christian at Waynesfield.

Waynesfield is 1-5.

Columbus Grove 58, Patrick Henry 48

HAMLER – Columbus Grove knocked off Patrick Henry at Patrick Henry.

The Bulldogs are 4-1.

Fort Recovery 46, Ansonia 39

FORT RECOVERY – Fort Recovery knocked off Ansonia at Fort Recovery.

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Hailee Conrad had 18 points and Zoe Best and Kelly Cooper each scored 11 for the host Indians. Conrad and Cooper also had six rebounds each.

Oliva Stolly had 14 points and Erin Mulcahy scored 10 for Lima Central Catholic.

Wayne Trace 44, Ottoville 39

HAVILAND — Alexa Honigford and Nicole Knippen each had 13 points. Knippen also had eight rebounds, five assists and six steals and teammate Tori Thomas had nine points and seven rebounds.

PANDORA — Lacie Fenstermaker had 12 points and Makayla Kinsinger scored eight for P-G. Leipsic’s individual scoring was not reported by deadline.

Crestview 51, Kalida 39

CONVOY — Cali Gregory had 17 points and Olivia Cunningham scored 10 for Crestview. Brooke Vennekotter had 11 points and Brooke Erhart scored nine for Kalida.

WAYNESFIELD — Zoe Chisholm (13), ackenzie Cascaden (13) and Karissa Welte and (10) each scored in double digitst for C-R. Jordan Elliott had 16 points and Rylie Barrington scored 11 for W-G.

ARCADIA — Riley Eachus had 12 points and Kylie Stackhouse scored 11 for Bluffton.

Ottawa-Glandorf 42, Perrysburg 33

OTTAWA — Chloee Glenn had 15 points and Kelsey Erford scored 10 for O-G.
