WORTHINGTON – Lima Senior picked up a game this week to make up for a Covid postponement and the Spartans came away with a 62-46 boys basketball victory over Thomas Worthington Friday night at Worthington.

TRAC changes

With Lucas County’s restriction of no indoor school facility use in place until at least Jan. 10, the Three Rivers Athletic Conference Executive Board voted to revise the conference’s boys and girls basketball schedules to single round robin formats.

Conference member Lima Senior has made adjustments to its boys and girls schedules.

The girls will still travel to Fremont Ross for a conference game Monday and have added a home game Dec. 17 against Ottoville.

The board also voted unanimously not to allow conference contests involving Lucas County members during the restriction period. As a result, the boys home game against Toledo St. John’s on Tuesday and an added encounter Dec. 22 against Toledo Central Catholic will not count as TRAC games. The Spartans will also play Lakota East in a 2 p.m. varsity only contest Dec. 28.

The schedule for this year’s Coach Q Kewpee Holiday Classic has been updated. There will be three varsity games Dec. 20 at Lima Senior. Lima Central Catholic will play Ashland at 11:30 a.m., Toledo St. Francis will play Beavercreek at 3:30 p.m. and Lima Senior will play a yet to be determined opponent at 7:30 p.m. There will also be three JV encounters.

Further changes to the Lima Senior boys and girls schedules are planned.
