PERRY TOWNSHIP – Perry used a key third-quarter run to pull away from Waynesfield-Goshen 75-39 in a boys basketball game Friday at Perry.

Perry is 3-0. It was the opener for Waynesfield.

Brayden Knight led the Commodores with 19 points. Terry Riley added 17.

Ryan Yingst tossed in 14 for Perry.

Hyatt Kaufman scored 10 for the Tigers.

Perry led 32-25 at the half. The Commodores outscored Waynesfield 21-7 in the third quarter to pull out to a 53-32 lead.

Waynesfield wasn’t able to make a run down the stretch.

Boys basketball

Spencerville 48, Elida 33

SPENCERVILLE – Spencerville’s Josh Henline tossed in 25 points to spark the Bearcats over Elida at Spencerville.

Spencerville is 1-2, while Elida is 0-3.

Tyler Long led Elida with 16 points with four 3-pointers.

Spencerville led 27-13 at the half and 39-28 after three.

Antwerp 70, Fort Jennings 32

ANTWERP – Antwerp ran away from Fort Jennings at Antwerp.

Antwerp led 35-9 at the half.

Evan Hoersten had 13 points with three 3-pointers for the Musketeers.

Luke Krause led Antwerp with 16 points with two 3-pointers.

Fort Jennings is 1-2.

Continental 48, Hicksville 33

CONTINENTAL – Mitchell Coleman tossed in 23 points to power the Pirates past Hicksville at Continental.

Gavin Huff added 16 points for the Pirates.

Continental (2-1) led 25-20 at the half and 43-28 after three.

Continental won the boards, 23-10.

Coldwater 60, Kenton 27

COLDWATER – Coldwater’s Ethan Post scored 18 points with seven rebounds to lead the Cavs over Kenton at Coldwater.

It was the opener for Coldwater and Kenton.

Coldwater’s Myles Blasingame added 11 points. Jesse Meyer scored nine.

The Cavs’ Tyler Schwieterman had 11 rebounds.

Caden Boling led Kenton with 11 points.

Coldwater led 34-16 at the half.

Coldwater dominated the boards, 41-14.

Kalida 52, Delphos St. John’s 37

MINSTER – Kalida’s Luke Erhart tossed in 19 points to help spark the Wildcats over Delphos St. John’s at Minster.

Ayden Warnecke and Grant Vorst both scored nine points for Kalida.

Landon Elwer led the Blue Jays with 11 points.

Kalida is 2-0. St. John’s is 0-2.

Kalida led 12-7 after the first quarter and 20-13 at the half.

St. Henry 46, St. Marys 45 (OT)

ST. HENRY – St. Henry outscored St. Marys 7-6 in overtime to post a victory at St. Henry.

St. Henry’s Logan Lefeld had 15 points, 10 rebounds and three assists.

The Redskins’ Bennet Gels had 10 points and six rebounds.

LeTrey Williams had 20 points for St. Marys. Austin Parks added 10 points.

St. Henry outrebounded St. Marys 31-17.

St. Henry is 3-0. St. Marys is 2-1.

Allen East 58, New Knoxville 55

MINSTER – Allen East held off New Knoxville at Minster.

Allen East led 33-27 at the half and 44-34 after three quarters.

The Rangers outscored Allen East 21-14 in the fourth quarter, but the Mustangs held on for the victory.

Allen East is 3-0. New Knoxville is 0-2.

Tyler Clum led Allen East with 15 points with two 3-pointers.

Keaton Lehman and Garrett Newland both scored 11 for the Mustangs. Jacob Hershberger added 10 points.

Sammy Anspach had 16 points for New Knoxville. Patrick Covert added 14 points.

Wapakoneta 45, Marion Local 38

MARIA STEIN – Wapakoneta moved its record to 4-0 with a victory over Marion Local at Maria Stein.

Marion Local is 0-2.

Noah Ambos scored 18 for the Redskins. Kaden Siefring added 12 points and Zach Rogers had 10.

Charlies Huelsman led the Flyers with eight points.

Wapak led 28-18 at the half and 33-23 after three.

New Bremen 38, Celina 27

NEW BREMEN – New Bremen rallied after a slow start to bump off Celina at New Bremen.

Celina ran out to a 10-4 first-quarter lead, but New Bremen got within 15-13 at the half. New Bremen led 25-22 after three quarters.

Celina is 1-1. New Bremen is 1-0.

Reece Busse led New Bremen with 17 points. David Homan added 12 points.

Josh Rasawehr had 13 points for Celina.

Ottawa-Glandorf 68, Liberty Center 43

LIBERTY CENTER – Ottawa-Glandorf opened its season with a victory over Liberty Center at Liberty Center.

Bath 69, Ada 37

BATH TOWNSHIP – Bath moved to 2-1 with a convincing victory over Ada at Bath.

Ada is 0-3.

Minster 51, Versailles 37

MINSTER – Minster knocked off Versailles at Minster.

Minster is 2-0. Versailles is 0-2.

Leipsic 60, Van Buren 47

VAN BUREN – Leipsic moved its record to 2-0 with a win over Van Buren at Van Buren.

Arlington 57, Cory-Rawson 39

RAWSON – Arlington notched a victory over Cory-Rawson at Rawson.

Arlington is 2-1. Cory-Rawson is 0-3.

Hardin Northern 55, Upper Scioto Valley 50

DOLA – Hardin Northern posted a win over Upper Scioto Valley at Dola.

Hardin Northern is 2-0. USV is 0-1.

Holgate 36, Miller City 33

HOLGATE – Holgate came away with a low-scoring win over Miller City at Holgate.

Miller City is 0-3.

Paulding 63, Defiance 56

PAULDING – Paulding knocked off Defiance at Paulding.

Paulding is 2-1. Defiance is 2-1.

Lima Senior schedule

Lima Senior boys basketball has updated its schedule.

On Saturday, the Spartans will travel to Ashland beginning with the freshmen. Lima Senior will play its home opener Tuesday against Perrysburg. On Dec. 11, Lima Senior will face St. Francis at home and then follow it with a home game against Toledo St. John’s on Dec. 15.

All games beginning with the freshmen playing at 4:30 p.m. followed by the junior varsity and the varsity.

The Coach Q Kewpee Classic is still scheduled for Dec. 20

Boys Bowling

Celina 2,642, Parkway 1,929

CELINA — Celina’sIsaach Garnett had a high series of 417 in round one. Other Bulldog series were Kaleb Fishbaugh 417, Alex Lehman and individual games rolled were Nick Forlow 168, Britt Hole and Karsen Black 145. For Parkway, Tazmin Archer bowled a 321 series followed by Jacob Haave 283, Corey Stahler 268 and Aiden Morton. Nathan Perry bolwed a 123 and Aaron Buffenbarger scored a 117. Celina won round two 833-576.

Celina improves to 5-0.
