BATH TOWNSHIP — Bath moved to 3-0 on the season with a 48-32 girls high school basketball victory Saturday against Columbus Grove.
Esther Bolon had 20 points and Chandler Clark and Madelyn Renner each scored eight for Bath. Lexi Renner had four assists also for the hosts.
Erin Downing had 13 points and Kenzie King scored 12 for Grove.
Delphos St. John’s 55, Wayne Trace 49
DELPHOS – Delphos St. John’s guard Paige Gaynier tossed in 33 points to reach 1,000 for her career to power the Blue Jays past Wayne Trace at Robert Arnzen Gymnasium.
Gaynier hit 7 of 9 on 3-pointers. She was also 6 of 6 from the foul line.
Melanie Koenig added 15 points, five rebounds and five assists.
St. John’s is 2-0. It was the opener for Wayne Trace.
Katrina Stoller led Wayne Trace with 20 pints and was 4 of 7 on 3-pointers. She also had six rebounds and four assists.
St. John’s hit 9 of 15 on 3-pointers, while Wayne Trace hit 6 of 12.
The Blue Jays led 31-23 at the half and 43-31 after three.
Marion Local 54, Shawnee 35
MARIA STEIN — Sammy Hoelscher had 21 points and Alana Pohlman scored 12 and finished with 10 rebounds for the host Flyers, who went from a 15-7 lead entering the second quarter to a 29-10 halftime advantage. Hailee Conrad had 14 points, Zoe Best scored nine and Ania Person finished with nine rebounds for the Indians.
Bluffton 69, Fort Jennings 24
BLUFFTON — Laykin Garmatter (17), Sami Scoles (12) and Kylie Stackhouse (11) each scored in double digits for the Pirates, who held a 20-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter. Jessie Foust had seven points and Maddison Dickman scored five for the Musketeers.
Miller City 39, Holgate 26
MILLER CITY — The Wildcats opened their season with a victory. Abi Lammers had 16 points, eight rebounds and five steals and Natalie Koenig scored eight and finished with four assists for Miller City, which held a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
